Official Diamond Rams Baseball thread!

or squirrels leave? i know there are stipulations in the contract
Yes minor league gave Richmond two extensions already and they are very vocal about how pissed they are with the lack of progress. Teams that did meet the standards were shut down years ago cut throat style. The only reason they gave Richmond this was the attendance is like best across all of minor league. Anyone but Barney would have move them by now. The guy has poured millions into the stadium over the last 14 years. Squirrels will pay Richmond 3 million a year under the new lease. I find that kind of amusing considering the Squirrels moved in 2010 under the promise of a stadium and they basically have had to self fund all their improvements to the park.

Anyone know how many scholarships (full ride)D1 baseball can handout?
D1 baseball players rarely get full ride scholarships. There is a maximum of 11.7 full scholarships that must be divided among up to 27 players on the roster. That limit will increase to 32 players beginning next season (the maximum roster size will also increase to 40).

Effectively, baseball players usually get partial scholarships, and those partial scholarships must be at least 25%.

Todd "Parney" Parnell is not the owner of the team, FYI.

Is changing that one of the recent proposals, in one of the NCAA deals?
