Watch the Rams take on the Dragons on Wednesday, Feb. 23. VCU Dining Services is hosting watch parties in Shafer Court Dining Center and at Chili’s @ VCU. Game day specials will be available at both locations. The game starts at 7 p.m. For more information, contact [email protected].

if I'm gonna have a watch party I want it at Shaffer....pop shaped chocolate ice cream, burnt pizza, and yeah...

They've done this in the past so I'm curious if anyone has gone, what are the game day specials?

Yeah. For students its swipes or Rambucks. However, you can pay and get in.(I'm assuming nothing has changed from last year. I know its like 7 for students if they don't use swipes.)

I think its pushing $8 now and maybe if you are used to hibbs shafer is awesome, but after 5 years of shaffy shaf I'm done.
 
The schedule doesn't show it as being televised. Is this a Drexel stream being shown?

Still $8 for a buffet. How much is Golden Coral now? Their rolls were always so good. I never had a meal plan, but used to go eat at Hibb's on my generous friend's meal plan everyone once in a while.

I've always been a fan of Shafer food. It's average at worst, but a lot of the time they have (or had, I haven't been in awhile) pretty good food. My stomach didn't always agree with me afterwards, but at least it tasted good going down. The noodle station is neat, but I didn't agree with all the extra swipe stations where they were trying to make an extra buck to sell you sushi or something else. Who pays $20 for a sushi roll at a college buffet style cafeteria? Like I said, I'm curious what the "game day specials" are. If it's a discounted buffet during the game, I'd most definitely be down!

Ramified..........very solid analysis and some legitimate concerns as well. I echo your thoughts/concerns.

To the rest of you donkeys.............try bringing some insight, analysis, or info to the boards. Ramified did just that. Very refreshing. The rest of you just offer nothing to advance the thread. If you don't like the topic, just ignore it and move along. You needn't comment.

We'll talk about anything we darn well please..........especially as it pertains to statistics, trends, history,swip stations,noodle stations, concerns, etc. If you don't like it, too bad!

Sushi does count for something................. I would take this further but it would be lost on so many of you. Ramified would likely understand.

Use your brain and contribute something relevant or analytical to the thread............or move along to another thread! Maybe you can go say "This" or "That" or "FODU" or post pictures of cats or some other inane waste of bandwidth!

Those of us who got our PhDs across the street can tell you all how lucky you have it at Shafer.
