Old pic, new possibilities?

I know most of us on here are probably not NASCAR fans, myself included, but it gets pretty good publicity during the basketball offseason. I came across this picture from 2003 (I think) and wondered to myself if we might ever do something like this again, maybe during the Richmond night race or something. Seems like a good way to get the name out even more, especially now that we have established ourselves as a contender once again. Just think about how many people across the entire country watch these races? I would also wonder though how many of these people were actually basketball fans as well, but how awesome would it be to see a VCU Rams car speeding around Richmond, especially if it won?

lol... it failed the first time...
It was supposed to be run at richmond on a chevy, but dollar tree gave them a few more dollars than us and they ran dollar tree logos on the gold and black chevy. The team took a pontiac to Dover weeks later and threw our decals on it. Some good it does us up there...
they also ran VT, UVA, and JMU cars. I forget who the 5th school they ran was.
 
Yeah, it would cost a bunch of money to put that on a competitive cup car. I believe that whole deal with the 5 schools was done just so they could sell merchandise since the car was more likely than not to not even make the race. I am a NASCAR fan, but the ad dollers could be better spent else where. A VCU Ramnation car would look darn good though. How many DVD's did ya'll sell?
