SPELL CHECK!! At least in Subjects! BA4, good stuff, but c'mon man! ;) Killing me!
I hang my head in shame. My apologies as I am usually one that's quick to jump on people for dumb grammatical/spelling errors. Wont happen again BaNg, lol

Represent!

(I'm horrible, with grammar) :D

At this point, GJ is a must-have. He's still very high on us, and this news only gives him more incentive to come here.

Another guard that has been brought up is Rico Pickett, a JUCO guard from Miami who is being highly recruited. He played at Alabama for a year before being dismissed from the team. It seems he may have some character issues. So we may want to stay away from him. That said, he's a good, steady point.

Martavious Irving may again be a target now and would be a decent guy to bring in. He's a rivals 3 star recruit and has good size as a 6'3 point guard.

I just dont understand why we dont look at maybe some top notch JUCO players. It could be a stopgap.

We might have to if we can't nab GJ. It's something I think Shaka is loathe to do though.

IF we get GJ....Why not shoot for the best available player? I can live with a Vilarino/BRozz/Theus/Smith combo at the point. Besides, knowing there is thinness at the PG position my force the guys to improve their handles...just a thought.

Whatever happened to Ricardo Ratliffe? I know he is in Floirda at JC but he has Virginia ties. He was POY in VA. Anyone have any news on him?

So now we have two open scholarships for next season. Joey's and Eric's which would have gone to eblen.

I assume one of them would go to villarino if he decides to commit. The other would go too possibly...

Would they hold a scholarship for David Hinton?

I wondered if that was part of Grants plan, considering he redshirted a walk-on. Wouldn't make sense without anticipating playing time in the future.

I think David will get some minutes next season, he's been working his ass off last year and this off season. Not sure we'd use a scholarship on him though. It'd be nice to have in our pocket, plus if you give it to him this season, while we're not technically obligated to do it for the following 3 years, it'd almost be expected.

Yeah, I don't know that we give him one this year. If he is able to make an impact this season maybe he earns a scolly for the following year. Expecially if Larry leaves early. Has any one here seen him in practice? What is his game like?

I've seen him work out before games, and saw him at the exhibitions. he's got the body to have an impact, soft hands. I would venture to guess that he could put up similar numbers this year as Terrance did last year, maybe more.

Yeah, it seemed like he was always the first one on the court before games to shoot around and work out. I have heard more than one person comment on how hard he has been working. Hopefully he is able to improve his game enough to earn a scholarship before he graduates. Maybe we give him Larry's whenever that becomes available pending his on court performance.

Anybody else know what Guards we are looking at incase G.J. does not commit to VCU?
