Another PG would be ideal, but we really need another big man with an ability to score consistantly...KP is a defender and Santil (well i dont know what exactly he does) and Hinton we have yet to see him in a live game! If Coach Smart can find a big that can spell Larry or play with him that would be a great addition!

I liked the little scoring sprees Saintill went on last year. I though when he was hot in the Bracketbusters game he should have stayed in a little longer. So athletic.

I thought Saintil had great moves that he would sometimes botch the finish but overall I don't understand why Grant would only put him in for one "series" and never put him back in unless Larry was in foul trouble, even then he should've been in there more than he was.

Tylisman Armstrong is leaning towards Auburn right now.

Well he committed to Auburn now, so he's off the table. Good get for Jeff Lebo.

His playing time was limited because of his defense. He tended to get lost. It happens to most freshmen. He will be fine.

Anyone know much about;
Ben Sawyer from Hampton - 6'3, 73 on ESPN
Desmond Lee from Booker T - 6'3, 84 on ESPN
It seems they are still out there but I'm not 100% sure of this.

Yeah still upset by that. Six points in three minutes on a first half series. Sanders fouled and KP played only a short amount of time. Still don't get what Grant was thinking on that one.

r4m,

It seemed Grant had his favorites like most coaches. Saintil has great feet, this should help him in development of his post game. His strength shouldn't be over-looked either. I remember the series your talking about. He would do good things and ride the pine the second half and never get back in.

Yea, I saw Desond Lee's name out on some site but wasn't able to glean much info other then he's 6'3" 200 lbs, and played QB. Seems like a natural leader-type

also
Tevin Swann 5'10" out of Hampton
Marcus Wells 6'2" out of S. Durham HS in NC
Chuck Ford 5'11" out of Dr, Phillips HS in FLA

Gonna have to get DB on the case

Chase Elliot...not sure how up to date this is, this site still had Eblen @ VCU

Josh Freelove...we're not listed, but a couple CAA schools are. If so, he may be aware of us AND he's from FLA in case Shaka knows him

http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/ ... _key=58238

Altavious Carter...SF out of Fla

Gokhan Sirin...definately out of date, but this is helping me deal with losing Eblen and Vilarino....ya know....glimmers of hope and all that.

Jason West...not that we need another SG....but we have schollies, right?

the JUCO route is where we need to go for a PG at this time in our program

Alright DB, time to get in there and get some scoop on who we are looking at now. I can't imagine that Smart wasn't checking out other player if Vilarino didn't work out - - Jucos, uncommitted guards, etc. Someone has to want to play guard for the Rams!

I don't know about both, but I feel we should atleast use one of the scholarships to address a team need

Yeah I'll let you know.
