I like this years OOC schedule - good blend - games we definately need for the RPI.

I have stated this before - I believe VCU SHOULD schedule 1 game a year, away, that will not be repaid back by a home game. I think it would continue to help grow our program and the worth of our program by taking a chance and playing teams that will never come to the Siegal Center.

The first game I think that fits this bill is a simple one...

UVA.

This game would be close for our fans - we would get to play an ACC school - and it might start that in-state rivarly thing. I think we should offer to play them every few years at Charlottesville...maybe, just maybe, they would not be chicken and play us at the Coliseum. And I know we could play them tough.....

WVU

Big East...not too far a trek and plus they'd no doubt burn a dozen couches regardless of the outcome

Maybe Shaka could get a home and home with Clemson, Maybe even U of Fla?

I miss our NE connection that we had back in the day.
I would like to see more trips to the DC/Philly/NYC back on the schedule.

F WVU
they would only play us in Charleston during their tourney.
they cheat shamelessly
the last time we ended up in a snow storm.
I swore that if I made it out alive, I would never ever go back to WVA in the winter.

Big E, I agree with you about VCU getting hosed in Charleston. VCU was leading by 5 points with seconds to go and got some really bad calls. Even though I am a WVU grad, I was rooting for VCU during that game. VCU got revenge by beating WVU in Richmond a year later.

F WVA-I wouldn't piss on their campus if it was afire-I was in Morgantown the night they set the record for most sofas burned-the NCAA needs to do something about that BS up there-its horrible. I'll neve go back and pity any visitor who does

I'd like to see the Rams use the major airline hubs for some road games... of course on a purely selfish level I'd like to see 'em come to MSP and reunite with Tubby and take on the Gophers, but even aside from that, it would be cool to plan some away games that might be distant, but would be easily reachable without lots of extra rental car hooha or flying into assend regional airports... Ga Tech, UNCC, DePaul/Northwestern, SMU/TCU

it would also be kinda cool to make a 2 game western trip every couple of years... take on Gonzaga for example

VCU70, I would not go that far. WVU has a long history of basketball success along with football. They also play in one of the top conferences.

I'm not sure how much this one makes since financially ...and they aren't exactly a BCS team...But I would love to see our boys play a game out in Spokane against Gonzaga. Got more respect for Mark Few than perhaps any other Coach in the country (although I will say Jim Laranaga is right up there as well). Plus you gotta think it's a winnable game, nice name on the schedule, etc etc. I'd rather lose on the road (not that we'd lose, but if we did...) to a big named team I respect than a BCS program.

Gonzaga would be a cool game...

I would only go to a VCU/WVU if the game was at the Stu. Not going to Morgantown I've seen the movie "Deliverance"

How about Ohio State? Coach Smart has ties to Ohio area.

uva? They are so bad I think that would hurt our RPI lol. But seriously we should go whoop up on Va Tech. I def agree with ACC, why not Maryland again? Are they scared from last time? I would think uva or tech wouldn't be but so difficult considering they are in state and they both stink lol.

they have long history of cheating

I loved the 2 tourney games with Wake Forest. I would love, love, love to play Georgetown. We could get a lot of Rams to the Verizon Center. Forget Maryland...been there done that. Screw UVA - they are a pathetic excuse for a basketball program. Their RPI does nothing for us.

My top list:

1) Georgetown

2) Kansas

3) Wake

4) Kentucky

5) UCLA - always wanted to see a game in Pauley

Mid major games:

1) Butler

2) Gonzaga

3) Western Ky.
