I'm sorry, but anytime an Ivy League team finds it's way into a national ranking...I gotta give em props.

#25 in the Coaches poll.

I'll move this into the OT board shortly...but just wanted to give credit to a group of TRUE student athletes.

Oh yeah definitely. To make it slightly on-topic this Cornell team also managed to knock off Anthony Grant and his Alabama Crimson Tide early in the OOC part of the season. They are for real. They can definitely win a game or two in the NCAA's given the right matchup.

They should have beaten kansas in Kansas. They will win in the NCAA Tourny. Just Watch...

What happened to our Off Topic board? :P

Does kinda make you jealous...a bunch of dudes from Cornell jump into the T25 and we can't.

Well us and the rest of the mid-major world. Props to Cornell, we obviously would love to be where they are now.

I call BS... at least that they're ranked and Rhode Island is not

Cornell is 16-3, URI is 18-3

Cornell is ranked 35th in the rpi, Rhode Island is 11th

Cornell's strength -of-schedule is ranked 147th, the Rams' is 47th

they are very close as far as worst-loss, with Big Red's being to rpi-59th Steton Hall, and URI's to... us@58th

Cornell's best win is over rpi-75th Harvard, Rhodey's is over 30th Ok. St.

Cornell is 3-3 against it's rpi top 100 opponents, URI is 6-3 (but note that each of those include a win over barely top100, 97th LaSalle)

Of Cornell's wins, 7 are cheap, coming against teams below 200th in the rpi, with 3 of those below 300... URI only has 3 such sub200 "cheap" wins, and none of them are below 300th (but to be fair, all 3 are very low in the 200s)

there's probably another team or two ranked in the polls that deserve it even less, but there's no way Cornell should be in over URI

I see both URI and U of R in the top 25 if not scratching to get in come next week. Says a lot about our OOC resume.
