...they're going back to the old retro logo and colors...

love it.

These are sooo much better. They have a classic look, as opposed to that goofy black/red thing they've had going on.

Wearing #3 is wishful thinking. As you know that number is bound to get retired by the Sixers and is still the most prominent # to see at games. Being as it was Dana Barros's number in the mid-90's, or someone like that. ;)

there is a very good possibility that philly comes down to maynor vs lawson. i would not mind maynor in philly because it is close by and with all the atlantic division games i can see in ny i would see him a lot. my bias though as an nba fan would be for him to go to my favorite team in the Thunder. I think the Thunder are going to trade with Minnesota the 3 for the 5 and the 18 and hopefully take maynor at 18. At this point i think Eric has sealed himself in the top 20 so tomorrow should be a great day for him and VCU ball.

I really doubt the Sixers are going to hang AI's number up there with the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Moses Malone and Dr. J. I liked him, but his time up there was pretty rocky and no one misses him.

Whereever he goes, I hope they will sell the Eric Maynor Jersey T shirt so I can buy mine tomorrow

Sad buy enjoyable day in Ram Land

And, as a Sixers fan, can't really be upset with Maynor or Lawson as our first round pick, whomever it is.

You could be right, but having worked in their building for a couple of years, he was hands down the most iconic Sixer or athlete in Philly in a loooooong time. He was the heart and soul of that team for many years, and the reception he gets when he goes back is chilling. He is on a very very short list of all-time Sixer greats.

there's something about unc point guards transitioning into the nba that just doesn't fit. cota, mcinnis, felton, curry, shammond williams, donald williams, derrick phelps, king rice to name a few. the main thing they all have in common is that they were (are) all below average pros.

sure lawson may be different, but i'm just not buying it.

Awesome! Those uniforms are niiiiiiiice!

Come on Philly, don't screw this up!!!! Take Eric at #17, resign Andre Miller for a 1 or 2 year contract, and then let Eric, Thadeous, Andre, Louis, Samuel, Maurice, etc... move on up in the East!!!!

CAN"T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Even Phil Ford crapped out early.

that was a different regime at NC. None of those guys were Roy's players except for Felton and to say felton has crapped out is uninformed. 14 pts and 7 assts are very solid numbers for a pg. As for the rest you listed...neither williams was a point as they were both shooters, mcinnis couldnt shoot and i cant think of anyone who thought cota was an nba player.

Is Felton an all-star? No. Was he worth the 5 pick in the draft? No. The problem with the argument is it assumes Lawson is talked about that high in the draft. At 17 if you can get a pg who gives you 14 and 7 a night you have had very good draft pick. The knock on Lawson for me is that i doubt his effectiveness in running a half court game. i think he will be dynamite in the open floor, but with UNC running the half court especially against teams with equal or superior talent to yours is something he hasnt had to do.
