OT: NU's Matt Janning blows up in first real minutes

First off, I am not arguing with anyone. It was just a suggestion to ease some of the tension. Of course I should have known it would be met with some smart guy's comment spewing off some bs when he has no clue. What are you talking about "the thread on Brad"? I have nothing to do with that. Never even made a comment. What are you talking about people not agreeing with me? Little early to be drinking eh?

That part was directed at the other poster who has such a problem with everyone who has been posting in this thread. I was agreeing with you that it was off topic, but since it is obviously here to stay we might as well get over it. Not really a big deal either way like you said initially although you seem to be taking it personally now.

Whatever. I offered a solution to the tit for tat that was going on. Then I get my statement quoted along with this diatribe I atill dont understand. If something was meant for another poster fine, but it certainly doesnt read that way. I am respectful to everyone here, even when I dont agree with their opinion. I dont get a lot of this stuff between some of you guys, its like you all dated the same girl or something. Since I'm here, I may as well offer my thoughts on Janning. I have been following him in the summer league, as I would follow any CAA guys. I am a basketball fan. I think Janning could definitely see his way on to a D-League roster at the minimum. I have a friend who made his way from the D_league onto a NBA roster last year, it is definitely doable for Janning to find his way in the NBA one day.

I thought we left the zone :?

I agree with a lot of whats been said by the civil posters.
1) this thread probably should be on the CAA section, but the site admins put it here and we have to deal.
2) Don't go trying to incite folks from other schools. Whether you care to admit it or not, sox and razor bring value to these boards (even if its just something to laugh at when they post pure manure!). Sure, sox is all over Janning's jock strap, as is razor on Lee's, but thats called being a fan! They stick up for their guys, just like we would for our guys. If the admins didn't want someone here, they would do their best to make sure it happened. Stop acting like little kids and get over yourselves. Everyone is welcome to come here and discuss basketball, Ram fans or not.

Just as a reminder.... F ODU! :D

Just for the record, I went to VCU for a semester.....so I should be allowed to post here like everyone else. (lol runs and hides).

some of you kids take yourselves way to seriously, especially the guy who has been posting here all of 5 months and is telling people to leave. It's the offseason, relax sparky, there are about a zillion other threads on this board about everything from Eric Maynors birthday party to Larry Sanders underwear smell (ok I made that one up).

Yeah, maybe this thread could be in the CAA section but is it really that big of a deal that you need to decide to tell other posters to leave the board? Grow up.

Hey, as that guy in LA said- CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG! This a place to talk VCU bball and anything that affects it. We all post on other sites and catch the flack that we deserve. All I have to say is power to the 1st amendment baby.

good for janning!

it's really great to hear about him doing well. it's gonna take a lot more than a couple good games for him to get a serious look somewhere, but this is certainly a nice start for him.

Guys its the off season. Its ok to talk about Janning. I mean what else is there to talk about now? I think recruiting is pretty handled. Also I disagree with the comment about him not being important to our program. He beat VCU a few times and in the process made our coach as well as the players learn from the defeats. Thats important to VCU's future. None of us like it when the Rams lose but that's part of the game.

The fact is Janning was a talented shooter. No he wasn't the fastest guy but he had a great long range shot especially later in his college career.

Also CAA folks are welcome on this board even Razor as long as long they don't came here to act like jerks. Considering most of us don't journey to the Zone much anymore the only way people from the Zone can have a discussion with the Ramnation is here. CAA is conference built on respect(watch the commercial). Every team yes even ODU deserves respect. I may not like them but you still have to have respect. (That doesn't mean you can't trash talk and heckle like a psycho. Just leave it in the arena like the players.Ok maybe a little taunting after the game  ) U of R thats a different story since they abandoned the CAA, so the gloves come off. . Most importantly though if we should respect anyone we need to respect other Ram fans. There's no need to attack each other. We're all Ram fans. Whether we're across the nation, across the seas, or live right by the STU. Respect.

Besides Redsoxn was a pretty cool guy on the Zone. He's just really enthusiastic about NU. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah guys, seriously, lighten up.... it's the off season, how could we possibly be expected to click over on another board within this same forum that's clearly labeled for exactly this kind of subject? I mean, heck, when it's not basketball season, it's just so much darn work to click/post/read in more than one forum, or use or exhibit any precious energy for thinking in terms of subjects or categories... who needs that hassle?... frankly, I think we're expecting too much from ourselves by having actually separate threads, when we could just toss all of our diverse posts about whatever happens to cross our minds into one huge pile... it's the off season after all.

well, since it's the offseason and this thread is ruined, i have a question for ye artram....

is darwin, mn even remotely cool? as a joke, i told the wife i wanted to drive her up to see the world's largest ball of twine, and i might actually follow through with it.
