Anyone know a good place to park? I would normally park in the deck next to RC but their prices went up and they lied to me about what it cost when I left today. All day is 12 as I saw online later. She said 17. Can't trust anyone nowadays but I partially blame myself for not knowing ahead of time. So anyone know any good places to park that aren't too far from the coliseum? I have tickets to all the games so the bus won't be running by the end of the last game so shuttling from campus and back won't work.

I havent heard anything to to contrary but I parked over in the MCV deck across from VCU Rec Sports. I dunno if its illegal or not...

it'll take some more time but it'll be less expensive. Just park at the Monroe Park Campus and take the Campus Connector down.

There is a lot right next to the deck I'm assuming you're talking about you can park in all day for $5. If you're worried about parking out in a lot for safety reasons, I've used that lot many times for previous Coliseum events. My vehicle was fine there all day today.

I never knew there was a lot over there. Do you know what street the lot sits on?

(The deck I was referring to is the one sitting on 5th street when you pass the coliseum.)

Ha, you're asking the most directionally challenged guy around. I think it is next to the 5th Street Deck (I'm trying to think of what exit I left the Coliseum lol). But there is indeed one there, I got there just after tip-off of the first game and there were still a few spots available.

yeah, we got ripped off for 17 bucks yesterday ourselves for 3 hrs. We won't go back for sure. Worse part was it took us 40 mins to mget out of there!

VCU M deck over the MCV bookstore. 4 block walk to the old brown spaceship. Free

It was definitely 17 bucks yesterday!!! It was the weekday hourly rate, they even charge for the HOUR it took us to get out of the deck. However they said it would be $6.00 for the rest of the weekend....

Parking is and always has been a major cluster downtown...big reason it's been slowly dieing.

I was running late yesterday and drove into the deck east of RC. Drove all the way to the top only to find no spaces. I wasn't alone; about a dozen other drivers did the same. How hard is it to have a system that keeps a running total of spaces by tickets issued/returned???

I found a space in the deck south of the RC but man was I pissed when I got hit w/ the $17....today I'll be walking a few blocks instead of giving my money to those 'tards...

Free street parking is preferred, but there are a couple of lots in the vicinity. There's one next to the city court building on the other side of the deck by 7th street. I don't know how much that one is.

But the lot where I usually park is the one on the other side of the bridge between the Philip Morris building, J Sarge, and the Biotech Park/ Cabaniss Hall buildings. That one is $5, less than a block away from the coliseum, and has very convenient access to the highway and other streets. This is where I'll be parking as long as it's only $5 and I can't find street parking. For all around convenience, you just can't beat it.

I parked in the deck for free. Here is how you do it. You can only do this on Friday. Park in the deck and get a ticket when you check in. Then stay until they stop taking money (after most business people have gone home). By the time we left at 10:30 last night there was no one to take our money. I do this every year on Friday.

But you can't do it today, Sunday, or Monday night, because they will take your money BEFORE you go in. It is usually 6 or 7 dollars.

They don't charge hourly on the weekend, or after like 6.

The deck behind Gibson's will be like $3.
