PERSPECTIVE

I wouldn't mind seeing our coach getting fired up and picking up a couple of techs at the end of a 1 point game.

keep in mind, if it's a league game, getting kicked out also means sitting out the next game too... Bruiser not only cost his team an opportunity for a last second win tonight, he also got himself excused from the upcoming ODU game in Philly

But I mean, seriously?!? Down by 1, we are going to the line to shoot a 1-and-1, of which we made just the first one which should have given us a 2 point lead with 13 seconds to go, you have a timeout to use to set up a play, and you go and do THAT???

We have a game against udel sucks before odu so he shouldnt miss the odu game. That should be an exciting game where the first team to break 40 wins.

ah, my bad... I was going off something I read from the post game presser... gee thanks Chris K! ;)

For those who don't care to click the link, and since this is NOT a published article.....enjoy!

you absolutely positively HAVE to keep yourself under control until after the game in that spot.. i don't care that they should have called a foul.. worst case scenario we would have had a last shot to tie or win... now we have no chance..

done.. it makes me sick

How many times is he really going to do this at the end of a game? fudgeing grow up.

Regarding Bruiser now being suspended for the next CAA game:
i hope they suspend him for the season!

the refs gave him a warning with about 45 seconds left when he was already freaking out.. the probably could have t'd him up right there.. then he lost it and they tossed him... don't blame the refs.. you have to be smart enough there to know that with 12 seconds left in a 1 point game you CAN NOT - under ANY circumstances - PICK UP A TECHNICAL FOUL.. not to mention 2 of them...

Imagine if Gerald Colds picked up 2 techs there.. he wouldn't see the court for a LONG time... you can't preach accountability - and then not hold yourself accountable for your dispicable lack of self control... And to top it off - he is going to have to sit the next game out b/c he will be suspended..

Agree with you 100%. And how does one feel as a player if you give it 100% and your coach takes away your chance to win? What's that do to respect going forward?

We can debate whether there should have been a VCU foul and/or whether a single technical would have been appropriate. From the TV feed, the contact with Fouch wasn't immensely clear. Was there a case to be made for a foul on the rebound? Definitely. But we've all seen much more blatant no-calls in the final seconds of close games. It seems strange to be immediately ejected without a prior technical, but that too is really beside the point.

I don't care if he was being harassed by fans all game and felt he was getting the short end of every call, you just can't react that way in that situation. It's embarrassing to the university and unfair to the team.

He has lacked focus every since the darn McRib came back.

I'm glad he's not our coach, but gotta admit I love when Drexel comes to the Siegel Center. He's the most entertaining coach in the CAA...as long as he's not coaching our team.

The thing I don't understand is that they are talking about racial slurs against bruiser? I thought we were the "thug" team? Yeah we chant bruiser but he's the coach lol.

Maybe I'm not close enough but I didn't hear anything. They usually escort you out the building if you get out of line so I doubt that happened.

The thing that will really make him mad is when he sees the tape. The call he was so mad about was a good call. In fact, I thought they would going to call it intentional. The guy grabbed Jamie's jersey and pulled him down. It was clear from the VCU side of the floor (and that is where the cameras are). But from the bench side it would look like Jamie just fell backwards onto the player pulling the jersey.

We had the Mo, I like our chances either with way. But man, what a way to take away your teams chance to win a game.
