Player Rankings by Garry Parrish (CBS Sports)

if you knew about at least half of those players you would know that is not a center list since many of them are power forwards, some a couple were even small forwards last year. it is a big man list. in general the list is pretty suspicious in his rankings. booker and singler are not top 10 and larry is better than at least the 4 guys listed in front of him. the only caveat to help this guy is it is a list about impact on college this year and not how they would translate in the draft or as a pro.

I like Garry, he's been great to mids and the CAA...so he gets a pass on perhaps having Larry not as high as we'd like. I'm also of the opinion that that guy we hate...Gerald Leigh, has gotta be included in a top 40 list of big men. Definitely one of the most underrated players in college hoops.

GL never plays defense, Ill give him top in offense, but no way would he get defensive honors, just look at johns pictures GL is always standing around thinking about how cool Larry is

Gerald spent the Summer in Finland playing "soft" European ball. Larry spent the Summer at the Amare Stoudamire and then the Lebron James NBA camps and then he worked out daily for Roose. Gerald came back to the states late in August complaining (whining) about a sore elbow. Who would you rather have?

Ed Davis at 10...really??? Don't most mock drafts have him going 2nd behind John Wall? And no way Luke Harangody is 2nd, he's good but not that good.

Harangody is one of the most overrated players in college basketball today. Will Thomas, who didn't even really get a sniff from the NBA, dominated Harangody when Mason played ND in the 07 NCAAs. IMO, he projects to have even less of a career in the Association than Hansbrough -- and that says a lot.

Just to be clear, I was only sharing some nice pub for Larry, not agreeing or disagreeing with the list. These things are always very subjective, and are more a reflection of the standing of a player or program with the sports press. I do think that it is awesome that Larry continues to get national press and respect, and I hope he is motivated to live up to it.

Not a bad list. The only player in the top 5 i would move down would be harangody. Patterson should be number 2 or 3.
