I have been trying to watch some of the so-called pro-Bowl from Hawaii-You notice I did not say Football in thet statement. Now, maybe I haven't seen one in a few years, but it was the biggest travesty I have ever seen in sports. How can this game go on for 8-10 plays in a row without any player touching a knee or hip to the ground. Most tackles are made by holding the ball carrier or reciever high until the ref blows it dead. Ex pts and field goals-why do they get in a stance/-when the ball is snapped, thy stand up and don't touch each other. The lineman are pretending to block and the pass rushers pretend to rush. If the field was sloppy mud, they wouldn't have to wash anything but their socks maybe. Also I noticed that nobody wears any type of pads except shoulder pads.
Who do they think they are kidding?-Give the guys the money, take them to Hawaii and cancel the WWF game. Its not even funny-its preposterious(sp)

The Pro Bowl, (and All-Star games in general) has become significantly more and more of a joke as the years pass. Didn't watch a second.

For people who actually watch it, that would be my guess at least.

They all suck... except MLB's All Star game, which is a very good event. The rest are unwatchable.

What's so great about the All-Star game? Is it that one or two of your players actually get a chance to win a game for a change (Don't bother coming back with it towards me, I know, the Royals blow too)?

Just saying that it is FAR, FAR superior to any other big 4 all-star game. Being as non-contact as baseball is helps. You don't have to worry about defense being played, because guys will still dive in the dirt for ground balls. The Pro Bowl, NBA and NHL All Star games suck, b/c guys are going half speed. You don't have that at the MLB all star game. It helps that there's a little something on the line too, but whether it should be is a whole other debate.

Mid Summer Classic has always been a great event to me. I remember, as a kid, getting excited to see the player introductions and cheering for Cal Ripken and Chipper Jones as they tipped their cap. It was fun seeing baseball's best pitchers actually pitching at full speed to the league's best hitters. Once again, by far the best All Star event! The others suck.

Interleague play really diminished the appeal of the all-star game.
