Recruiting Portal: 2025 VCU Interest

Luke started with on a team that had 4 players that shot 78%+ on their FTs. Easy to hide one poor FT shooter when everyone else is lights out.
Of course everyone wants to have a great free throw shooting team and we know just as much as anybody how not hitting free throws in the clutch can wreck a season. However, there are teams who had great seasons and made it to the dance last season who shot under 70% as a team. Again, not what you want but teams have overcome it.

I'm sorry man...I watched alot of Penn State over the last 2 years...I feel like BRozz and Jimmy brought Rockhead's roster construction strategy back to VCU.🫣

Aside from the 5 position, Odom was a master at roster construction.
I haven't seen a complete roster...🤔

Penn State shot a better ft% than vcu last year

Penn state allocated all their money to 6 players and couldn't afford a bench. As result, 60% of the scoring got injured so they had to rely 9nbench warmers(Eli Rice, Kachi Nzeh) and a bunch freshman the rest of the season to carry the load.

Bottom line: a 16th place finish in the big ten and missing the conference tournament.

Oh, I get it with regard to PSU. Just don't see how any of that relates to our developing roster construction.
