Positives

Who cares. I take our accomplishments and run with it. No need to throw it in people's faces like UofR and GMU fans have done to us in the past.

Point taken. I'll re-phrase:

*The CAA got its second Final Four in five years.

Just got back to the hotel in Houston. What's not positive in our story. I couldn't be more proud of this team. What a special run, and I'm so proud and glad to be a part of it! We're all Rams!

Absolutely, this team has given us all a lifetime of memories in one month of basketball. Truly a remarkable ride to be on! :D

I like the sound of that!

I don't know how to feel.. I'm so proud, so very very proud of our team for getting this far, even though I knew if they played as a team, with heart, and aggression on the court they could compete with anyone.. And then we get to the Final Four, the game is ours to win, and I feel like the team we saw in the past two weeks didn't really show up. Heck, I wish our student fans that got floor seats were shouting and screaming every possession even if we were behind, but I really didn't notice our floor seated student section at all during the game, during every play. I think the upper level student half was much more active than them... I'm just a sore loser because I thought we could win this game. I was shouting every possession, and pacing and throwing up my hands for every bad call by the refs, which I feel were a good 75% of their calls. In a way, I felt like Butler could be physical with us all day long and not worry about getting a call against them, whereas I felt like we were more afraid of that once we started getting fouls away from the ball and fouls in the paint for a lot less physical play than Butler. I think our worst enemy though was just the shooting tonight. I don't know what got to our players or what affected them on the court, but nothing was dropping in the basket. Easy layups or tip-ins were difficult, we missed so many. Rebounding was usual, the same achilles heel we've had all season.

Gosh, I just feel for the team though. Two games away from a championship, all within their control. They've met and exceeded their original goals, but I really wanted them to win this, to prove to themselves and every so called 'high-major' that they could do it. Heck I wanted this for our school recognition, to win the championship or at least get to the championship game... When I entered grad school out in the midwest, none of my classmates knew about VCU. Most having come from prestigious schools, such as Michigan State, Kansas, Ohio State, etc., with longstanding basketball traditions in the high-majors, they gave me the same ESPN bs that was spread out nationally, since they really didn't know our team at all. "VCU, another inferior mid-major squad." "Who's VCU?" "I really don't know much about VCU, so I picked them to lose from the beginning." I just get so frustrated when people who talk crap about VCU, and don't know we have a team that has just as much heart, determination, focus and skill as anyone in a major conference, we have a band that just rocks this world and turns even foes to friends, and we have one of the rowdiest crowds in the nation that can get under any teams skin. I love this school, this program, this team. I really want to see us back here again. I hope I live to see another VCU squad make it this far and take home a championship in the end. Sorry for the rant.

Positives: I love VCU Basketball so much more, I just feel so proud of our Rams and that this run will set us up for future Success

Negatives: The outcome was preventable, a win was within our abilities, we just couldn't capitalize in the end. Also, the opportunity of a lifetime to take home a championship or play in the championship game is gone and we really won't know how long until we get this far again, all we as fans can do is wait.

Keep doing what you're doing. Go for good people who are also good players. Everything is positive about where we are now. Nothing is negative. I'm am proud. Thanks to Shaka and his coaches and team. Good work Norwood.

The season is over and I can finally get some work done

They talk about how much time is wasted every year with people spending work hours on their brackets.
TRY getting work done with your cinderella team being in the limelight for several weeks. WOW am I behind

Next year I hire a temp.

About those floor seats... VCU screwed up big time, in an email sent to all the students they said that once students arrive to reliant they will receive a wristband with a number on it (1-800 something) and that a random number would then be drawn and the next 400 students after the number selected would be on the floor. From what I heard, they did just that but students with an early number complained and whined that it was not fair that they would not get floor seating because they got there earlier than everyone else (When it clearly said in the e-mail they sent us that everyone would have a fair chance of getting floor seats and explained the process). VCU ended up giving floor seating to those first 400 something students.

Anyway I got to Reliant at noon right after my flight landed and my number was 644 so I was in the upper level seating. I was fine being up there as long as I got to support our Rams, only to find out that the NCAA had double sold VCU's student section up there...They made all of the VCU students seated in rows A-F move up to the last rows of the 600 section. When a VCU student asked one of the Reliant ushers how they can make students move even though they have the tickets with the correct seat numbers on it, he replied that students only paid $25 for their tickets, while the other fans paid at least $180 for theirs. He said that the students were out of luck and that it was the NCAA's fault. Luckily, after numerous students complained, a female police officer stepped in and said that it wasn't right to move the students, so they stopped at row F.

But yeah, I was proud of the students in the upper-level, even though we were almost on the roof of the stadium we constantly kept cheers going and were extremely loud up there. About 15 students left early in the last minute but other than that everyone was cheering VCU as the game ended. I know there were true fans on the floor because I recognized many of them, but the other students down there seemed to only care about being on TV, heck they were still jumping up and down and trying to get their faces on TV during the Kentucky-Uconn game.

Ya'll kicked ass up there. Couldn't help but keep looking up all night.

HOUSTON (AP)—So much for the unlikely Final Four pairing of Virginia Commonwealth and Butler hurting TV ratings.

Saturday night’s Final Four broadcast on CBS posted an 8.9 rating and a 17 share. That’s tied for the highest since 2005.
