I think the Vols are in for an asswhoopin'. The youth and leadership of the coaching staff of the Vols. will seriously be tested. And I'm pretty sure that Sunshine will be known by the nonhicks in Knoxville on T-Day.

I wouldn't be surprised. Last year we were crushed by So. Cal early in the season, who was absolutely awful. We also almost lost to DePaul and just didn't look good. Once we cut the rotation down to 9 we beat Kansas, Kentucky, Florida, and Ohio State. This coaching staff insists on playing 12 guys in November and December and hopes things comes together by January.

So they basically use November to find those 8-9 guys to cut the rotation. Is it open competition for playing time or does everyone know who those 9 guys will be?

Feel free to treat this game as a glorified scrimmage.

VolWarrior and OUVolfan, thanks for the information. It's greatly appreciated! Always nice to hear from people who see the Vols play a lot more than any of us do.

I wouldn't say the final rotation is set by any means. I'd expect our injured player, Josh Bone, to replace McBee as the backup 2 guard, and Maymon who is ineligible for the next 20 days, to take Steven Pearl's spot in the rotation. McRae and Woolridge will battle for another spot, and then one of the players left in the 2 deep will be taken out of the rotation for conference play leaving us with nine. But things can always change between now and then based on how things go on the court.
