When is the CAA portion of the schedule usually available? September?

Maybe august...they are pathetically slow. The big 12 conference schedule has been out for about 3 weeks...with all of the tv games and everything done. CAA slows down the release of the schedule every year. I guess comcast has to shoulder some of the blame for the slow release...

Check out the Siegel Center calendar, some home games are listed now

Only the OOC home games are listed, which have already been released. No conference home games are on the siegel center calendar yet though.

I see UNCW Jan 5
Hofstra on Jan 10
ODU on Jan 17
GMU on Jan 24th
NU Jan 27
W&M Feb 7
Jmu Feb 11
DE Feb 18
GSU Feb 28

I don't know if these dates are reliable, i'm just interpreting what i see on the schedule

My bad, thanks for the correction. What's worse is i didn't remember those dates from last year.

If I may...the schedule coming out in late August has nothing to do with being "pathetically slow." It has everything to do with negotiating more television games.

Everybody whines about not enough teevee games, but fail to recognize that getting more teevee games takes time. The thing is that each school also has to sign off on it. For instance, CAA games are played on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Pretend the conference finds a time to get a Tuesday game put on ESPNU, let's say VCU vs. Mason.

The conference has to get all of the financials together, then call Shaka Smart and Jim Larranaga to get their buy-in. The coaches have to agree to move the game. Facilities have to be available. There is a process and it takes time to play out, and then imagine trying to get as many games on teevee and moved as possible. Far less of the process with BCS conferences because they own the majority of the views anyway.

The point is this: you can have your schedule in early August with little teevee, or you can have it pathetically late in early September with a lot of teevee. Your choice.

I havent' seen hardly anyone complain about "lack of tv coverage" the past couple of years..quite the opposite..people have been very complimentary about the # of t.v. games and the job that the CAA has done with the t.v. package. Ok...they aren't "pathetically" slow but they are slow compared to other conferences who have many more t.v. games to schedule and already have their league scheduled done (including teevee games). However you are the expert in such matters !

I choose to have it pathetically late in early September with a lot of tv. We get CSS down here in Florida and are able to see many of the games you get on Comcast networks up there. I also subscribe to the xjohnx network and get to see the remaining games via online streaming video. It's an incredible service and the price is right! Of course I owe him a few beverages for all that he does. Thanks again xjohnx!

I was a fan of that xjohnx network myself. You got my back this year big dog? I only get 4 channels!

Any time guys. I'll have to work on another way to make it happen this year since i bought my own house, but i should be able to figure something out by the time the season starts!

One of the main reasons the T.V. sked comes out when it does is because the larger conferences get first crack with ESPN, etc. Then us....
