It seems like both these guys can both dribble penetrate and possibly distribute..after this year, we should consider using them both to bring the ball up and start the offense...you never see hybrid backcourts anymore...not since Isiaih Thomas and Joe Dumars.

No. We need a replacement freshman for the upperclassman.

wouldn't theus and brandy be the replacements?

As I said on the other thread, not sure if Brandy has the handles to run point. Not knocking him by any means, just stating that we haven't seen that aspect of his game much at all yet.

so then he is the off-guard?

I can't wait to see how these guys play off each other the rest of the season.

Is it too early too get hyped about theses guys? or does Theus = Rolando Lamb and Brandy = Isiaih Thomas?

It was about time that Shaka threw out the statistics and went with his athletic, playmaking recruit. Theus, Berg, and Nixon=defense!

If you listened, and most here did not, you would have heard him say that he would play players when they were ready.

It is called player development.

Looks to me like Shaka had it figured pretty well.

I don't buy that. If Rozzell doesn't go out with the broken hand, no way Rob gets those minutes that he really needs to fully develop. No doubt that Shaka means what he says, but lucky for us (not so much for broz) that this forced his hand. You're making it seem like it was his master plan when that simply cannot be. I do believe Robs minutes were going to increase some but without getting the majority of Brandons minutes lie he did he wouldn't of had the chance to show what he did. No doubt to me and I have heard from Coach Smarts mouth that Rob was a really good player and the staff definitely recognized it though. A good job by our staff to buck convention and not redshirt Rob this year. He has had an impact on probably every game he had played.

I knew we had a special player when I saw the VUU exhibition. I've said before that I have never seen someone so effortlessly fast.

In response to Robs "handles", what about them is not good enough to run the point? He is a prototype NBA point guard body type. My feeling is that he probably grows a few more inches in his collegiate career. Not to jinx him but he has got real potential.

Anyone ever figure Coach Smart wasn't showing his hand? Maybe Rob is the best recruit we have, he just didn't want anyone to know. Give Coach some credit on that idea.

Maybe he knows a lot more about a lot of things than we give him credit for ...............
