when did you have a kid?

2 years ago

Pav was a music major, not math!

It's Jenny's best friend's kid.....both parents work weekends and both got stuck up in DC due to the snow, so I guess it's a good thing we have her, though the 8am wake up call on a Saturday makes me think otherwise...

Latest forecast shows 18"-24" by noon tomorrow. Any other Ram fans attempting to travel tomorrow morning from NOVA? I'm planning to head out around 11am from Fairfax and making a pit stop in Woodbridge. I have one available spot in the SUV, pm if interested.

CAD03...hope you make it! See you there!

Got about 20" around my way (still snowing) but was able to get the car on the road this morning just fine. Unfortunately, there's a good possibility power could be out shortly around this way and there's no way I could leave the wifey and 16 month old to deal with that. I'll be sticking around and hopefully won't lose power so I can watch the beating of the cats on tv.

MJ, hopefully we can catch that drink at the CAA tournament.

CAD, if you go, I really do hope you make it safely!!!

Thanks VCU4LIFE, I'll be sticking around but I'll definitely be at the Mason game.

Regardless of who you root for, everybody be safe traveling. Remember it is just a game, not worth killing yourself to attend. But having said that...I'll be in the Stu!!! lol

Snow here by Dulles is deeper than my car tyres, and I'm a long way from VDOT maintained roads, and I doubt those will be plowed anytime soon. Still have power, and have battery backups and enough laptops to power modems through the game if power goes. Beer fridge is still pretty full, but just dropped under 3 dozen eggs and broke into the last 4 pounds of bacon. Going to have to shovel out the grill again, it got cold and buried after we used it last night. Should be good to go through the game.

2 hours to game time.

Get some.

yeah, just talked to my folks who live in sterling. apparently it's getting downright nasty. they said they got up in the middle of the night to start the shoveling process, and by morning there was twice as much snow as they shoveled last night.

luckily they live in a newer development in cascades, so most of the power lines are underground. i'd bet that some of those older neighborhoods in parts of loudoun and fairfax are going to lose power for a while.

funny, i lived in N. VA and Richmond for the first 29 years of my life, and never endured a winter this bad, but i move to a place notorious for bad winters, and VA has had it much, much worse this year. funny how life is sometimes....

I'm in Charlottesville. Pissed..... 18" here. No sign of a plow. Still snowing. Had lost power and just came back on (thank god!!) praying it holds through game time. Had 4 tix to today's game. Never imagined this would happen. Sorry there will be 4 more seats at VW arena without RAMS fans in them. I'll eat the $$ rather than sell them to ODU fans. You still might hear me yelling from Charlottesville. Roll RAMS!!!!!!
