RICHMOND, Va. – The Virginia Commonwealth University men’s and women’s tennis team left Richmond in hopes of bringing some hardware back from Norfolk and the 2010 Colonial Athletic Association Tennis Championships.
Part of that hardware came on Thursday evening at the CAA Tennis banquet where the Black & Gold garnered three of the major awards handed out. Senior Thibaut Charron (Sens, France) was named the CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Year, freshman Josefin Hjertquist (Spanga, Sweden) was named the CAA Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Year and Head Coach Paul Kostin was named CAA Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year.
