I remember how worried I was last year about VCU's rebounding on both sides of the court. Things started off a little rough but seemed to improve as the year progressed. Not unlike many teams throughout the country.

Looking ahead to the fall, the Rams will have Larry, The Hammer, TJ, Skeen, and the Ice Cream Man all available to bang in the post and grab boards. In my opinion, that is a pretty nice group of bigs to have available and that doesn't even include Brad who we all know is a very well-rounded player. I know ODU, Mason, and even JMU will have solid front courts as well but I really think VCU will have some quality depth in an area that hasn't been overly dominate in the past few years.

Just something to think about instead of the daily, "As the PG Turns" or "Days of our PG".

I would assume that if Saintil is convicted of a misdemeanor (or maybe even if he isn't) that Shaka will suspend him for a few games - - that'll affect early season rebounding. I have to admit that Saintil is becoming my least favorite player - - stupid facebook posts about leaving VCU and now he's been arrested. Hopefully he matures a bit and can be a decent player for us.

I LOVE TERRENCE SAINTIL ..... When I met him, he was nothing but a gentleman. In college I drank, used drugs, got arrested, and rebounded. He also should not be suspended. Thats for felons, (see Kentucky, or me, I admit it) This thing about Saintil and a lousy freakin window is overblown on here, and by the times 'we are now the TMZ of Richmond' dispatch. With two wars going on, lousy economy, and our schools are in shambles....thank God the times-disgrace reported that teenage girls at Deep Run High are drinking, otherwise i'd think the World and RVA were in a wonderful place. But, it isn't. Girl soccer players are drinking in the far west end, Terrnece broke a window...My life is over.

What would Maggie Walker have to say about all of this? ;)

Terrance, we all still support you, don't worry about it too much, it will be over soon enough.

He wasn't arrested, and the facebook posts were likely because of what happened with the window. It was a horrible decision to waste court time with this case, and it would be even worse if he were suspended from any games. With that said hopefully Terrance will break out early this year. Last year he showed some promise in limited mins, but we are going to need him to make an impact this year.

not to keep focusing on this incident, but i have to say i find it funny that some of you guys act as if you were there when this happened and know for a FACT that what he did or did not do is or is not deserving of a court date.

there could be more to this story than any of us know. or maybe not. a very short blurb in a newspaper does not give you or me or anyone else the proper insight or investigative tools necessary to state with certainty whether or not it was deserving of a court date. you guys kill me with the homerism sometimes.

sorry for contributing to this hijack. go on with the rebounding.

I hate to say it but there's probably more to the Saintil story. He wouldn't be taken to court for a broken window unless there was something else. Also Saintil has been known for going overboard on his status updates on FB. Not that some of us don't do that time to time I'm sure. However, I remember many different players in many different sports that have acted in a immature manner and but would eventually become great players. One player who comes immediately to mind as a Redskin fan is Sean Taylor. Except in his case it took having a kid to straighten him up.

Or how about "General PG" or "All my PG"

I agree World B Free - we are going to be stacked this year - woohoo!!!

The damage is alleged to be less than $1,000.00. In addition, he was released on the summons (I've seen the case info). It's a misdemeanor, so there has to be a court date. Based on the damage and the fact there was no detention/bail, it was a minor event in the criminal justice system. There were no other charges. It happened back on April 15. When did Grant leave?

Rebounding is a pretty limited topic, particularly in May.

I don't see why he should be suspended for a the broken window incident. Hopefully just a formality that he has to pay for window and get a warning. If he was in fact horsing aroung that could have been any of us in that situation. As far as rebounding since Maynor is gone I think it will be very crucial that we pick up our offensive rebounding. Saintil and the big "P" will need to step their game up in that department. Those second chance looks are very important in every game as every opportunity can be valuable in any game. I think Larry has a personal best this year. I hope he is hitting the weights this off-season as well as the other guys. If we are to beat ODU we have got to step that phase of our game up. The same goes if we are to beat NU.ON that note we need to recruit for next year 2010-2011 season.....Need to get some big men in. :ugeek: :ugeek:
