Reco will be signing his LOI to play with VCU tomorrow. He is very excited to be joining the VCU family.

He has been working very hard on his handle and passing skills. He will likely play significant time at the point guard position and has proven to be pretty proficient in that area. While he may never play that position at VCU, it's nice to know we have a 6'7 wing with that kind of ball-handling capability. 8-)

The McCarter era begins soon!

Great to hear he is following through and signing the LOI as soon as he can. Also good to hear he is working on improving his game in different facets. Any news on if he is getting bigger and stronger and maybe working on some low post stuff that would allow him to play some at least limited 4?

Looking forward to this future ram, I expect he will be a major contributer all four years, welcome Reco!!
 
Thanks, John. I missed this article. Hope he becomes solid academically. It sounds as if Coach Smart wants to improve the GPA for the team. Good goal for a solid athletic team.

I have a feeling he'll be just fine academically. My understanding was that his freshman/sophomore years he got off to a rough start, but he's doing just fine now.

Just to recap...Reco is a 91 grade on ESPN and the #32 SF prospect in the Class of 2010.

He is a 3 star on Rivals and was a former Rivals150 recruit as the #128 prospect as a junior.

He is a 3 star on Scout and the #38 SF prospect in the Class of 2010 by that service with offers from Georgia, NC State, and Virginia Tech.

He is a top 200 recruit according to Hoopscooponline as the #186 overall prospect in the Class of 2010.

In summary, BIG-TIME recruit!!! :lol:
