VCU needs to take a long look at this guy. I am not a real big JUCO fan, but there are times a JUCO can help a program and with us losing KP, TJ and probably Larry after this year - now is the time to recruit at least one experieced player.

Ricardo is 6'8" and 226 lbs. Averaged 26.5 ppg. 11 rpg (a third offensive, almost 1.5 bpg and shot 65% and 37.7% from the 3. And those are his freshmen JUCO numbers, not HS.

And he is a Virginia native as he played his HS ball in Hampton.

I've read in several places that he's BCS-bound. Mason's been mentioned with him and ODU would love to get him, especially since he's from down that way, but the kid is a big-time player. Probably a longshot at best for anyone in the CAA to land him.

Not to mention, if Shaka's aversion to recruiting JUCOs is true and not merely a product of message board chatter, VCU wouldn't even be interested.
