Word on the street is that Richmond beat NC State by 8 points in a closed scrimmage. NC State was picked to finish last in the ACC by a fairly large margin. That being said, I wouldn't read too much into this. I'm still betting Richmond will be a tough squad this year.

F Richmond and F NC State! Sorry Wolfpackram ;)

No problem. This is the first year Sidney Lowe has all recruits that he recruited with the exception of Dennis Horner. Brandon Costner and Ben McCauley are gone and they were cancer to this team. The current players have even mentioned this publicly this year. NC State's 2010 recruiting class is ranked #6 nationally by Scout.com. I think State will surprise some other ACC teams this year, just like UVA. I don't see them finishing last - maybe in the 7th - 10th range. Look for VA Tech to finish lower. :D I am not a big Greenberg fan.

Regarding Richmond, it doesn't surprise me that they beat NC State in a scrimmage. Richmond is going to be very good this year with Geroit back. They have size with Geriot and the kid from Meadowbrook and they have great guards. VCU's game with UR at the Stu concerns me big time. That could be our second toughest home game this year after the Oklahoma game. Also, we won't have Skeen for either game. That is going to hurt us big time down low.
