Rapid Robert, one of the best pitchers of all-time and the classiest individual to ever play professional sports passed away tonight after a long 92 years. Bob was easily the one guy who did more for the game after retirement than anyone else, and it's not even close. He missed time in the prime of his career to enlist in the active duty US Army and was very active in the Dept of Veterans Affairs right up until the end of his long life.
