Rob Brandenberg played in the Ohio North-South all-star basketball games today at Capital University. He was very impressive going up against a stacked South team led by Jordan Sibert (Ohio State), Ralph Hill (Dayton), Quinten Rollins (Miami Oh), AJ Pacher (Wright St.), and top unsigned senior Geron Johnson.

While the North team was somewhat overmatched, Brandenberg came out firing from the tip and was virtually unstoppable scoring 15 first-half points and on pace for MVP honors going into the half. Unfortunately a couple of minutes into the 2nd-half Rob hurt his ankle and ended the game with 17 points (3-3 from 3 point land), he missed the last 13 minutes of the game, but was clearly the most impressive player until then. His team ended up losing 121-113 in overtime but Brandenberg really accounted for himself very well in this game. Rob's ankle is fine and there is no need for worry for next year. He continues to give Ram fans renewed enthusiasm for the incoming freshmen class. GREAT JOB ROB! :)

In the Division I-II boys game, the South's balance paid dividends in a 121-113 overtime win over the North. Ohio State-bound Jordan Sibert of Cincinnati Princeton scored 21 points, Geron Johnson of Dayton Dunbar 20 and Ralph Hill of Westerville North 18 to lead the way.

After a shaky start, the Dayton-bound Hill was a force down the stretch. He went 9 of 13 from the field.

Anthony Hutchins of Lima Senior led the North with 25 points. Rob Brandenberg of Gahanna had a terrific game with 17 points on 7-of-7 shooting, but missed the final 13 minutes because of a sprained ankle.
