All of these might be good for Rose. They all are at a lower level but they are in a competitive conference. He might be one of just a few guys his size in the entire conference and he has the body to really block out players as that conference level. I think he also probably needs to rebuild his confidence by showing he can play. That could do a lot to also help his game.X

That’s what some said about him dropping down to the A10, as I recall. All of these might be good for Rose. They all are at a lower level but they are in a competitive conference. He blocked out players here too but he did it while setting screens at the 3 point line. All of these might be good for Rose. They all are at a lower level but they are in a competitive conference. Which might be why he would do better in a lower level conference. To be honest, I was not keen on him when we were recruiting him last summer. If you spend 2 years on one of the worst teams in the ACC and can only get about 1 mpg, then you are likely not to do much better at a high fmid-major like us. I never understood why some of you were singing his praises both after his freshman year at Louisville and then again when he transferred here. Sort of like all the expert basketball analysts who have been singing praises for SLU the last decade while each year SLU shat the bed each season. He blocked out players here too but he did it while setting screens at the 3 point line.
I wish we could give them some “fans”…..How much did we have to give them to take him?
Rose to ETSU.
Sonny Smith as well.Rams go way back with East Tennessee ... it was among the first D-1 schools to play VCU at the Coliseum .... also, Chuck Noe hired ETSU legend Skeeter Swift (who is quite a story) as among his first assistant coaches .... also, my mother is from Johnson City.
You also forgot, Dick Sander, who is the athletic director at ETSU and prior athletic director at VCURams go way back with East Tennessee ... it was among the first D-1 schools to play VCU at the Coliseum .... also, Chuck Noe hired ETSU legend Skeeter Swift (who is quite a story) as among his first assistant coaches .... also, my mother is from Johnson City.
