I just got the facebook message for this. So is the Student Ram Athletic Fund now back to being known as the Rowdy Rams? If this is the case, I think that was the right move by the Athletic Department. The students can rally more behind Rowdy Rams and calling themselves "Rowdies." SRAF just doesn't roll off the tongue well.

Calling all Rowdy Rams!!!

On Wednesday, October 6th, the Rowdy Rams and Qdoba have teamed up for a 'Beat the Clock, Burrito Night'.

All current members of the Rowdy Rams (formally known as the Student Ram Athletic Fund or SRAF) that come to the Qdoba Restaurant on West Broad Street will receive:
...
$1 Burritos from 5:00pm-5:15pm
$2 Burritos from 5:16pm-5:30pm
$3 Burritos from 5:31pm-5:45pm
$4 Burritos from 5:46pm-6:00pm

Have **CASH** ready so we can get as many Rowdy Rams through the line as possible.
Come line up early. You will only receive the designated discount if you are at the front of the counter in the allotted time. If you are in line as time expires, you will be entered into a raffle to win all sorts of prizes and gifts courtesy of Qdoba.
**Subject to availability. Burritos come prepared either Chicken or Vegetarian. Additional ingredients available at cost**

Sign-up to be a Rowdy Ram and receive the following benefits all year long:
-VIP line at every Men's Basketball home game which allows for early entrance and the avoidance of long student lines

SIGN-UP NOW to be a Rowdy Ram by clicking on (http://givenow.vcu.edu/rowdyrams), then come to Qdoba on Wednesday Oct. 6th to pick up your T-shirt and membership card, then get in line. You can also go to the VCU Ticket Office, located at the west end of the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm or the day of the event starting at 12:00pm at Qdoba. Membership costs just $25 for the entire year!!! Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted.

Following the 'Beat the Clock Burrito Night', come get loud and cheer your Men's Soccer team to victory as they take on arch-rival ODU. Transportation will be provided by VCU Athletics from Qdoba to Sports Backers Stadium starting at 6:00pm, and then back to Qdoba immediately following the game. Yes. The only person that was blocking merging the Rowdies and SRAF is no longer in the Athletic Department. All the benefits of SRAF without the lame name.

Also, since I am sure no one wants a bunch of Rowdy Ram threads, I'll put this here.
We've put together a new website for the Rowdies. We're toying with the idea of setting up restricted forums so that we can openly discuss ideas for heckling/improving our sixth man advantage without the other teams being able to know whats coming, but I wouldn't want anyone to feel like we're trying to take anything away from this site. I personally don't think it's that serious (as in not very necessary)... but at the same time, what could it hurt... thoughts?
Also in the works is a historical page for the new recruits to know where it started and how far the group has come in a short time thanks to a few hard working folks that started it all off. So head over, check it out and leave some feed back.

Yeah, I know it's hard to memorize or put on a shirt, but we don't want to take money from the budget to get a domain name, we'd rather give back to the students that join through socials and bus trips. Just bookmark it and you'll be fine!

You guys already own a domain name. I'm assuming Jeff helped set it up for you. http://www.rowdyrams.com/ - I would talk to him about getting it pointed to your new site.

odd, I checked that before and nothing was there, I'll get in contact with him and see whats up, thanks.

That is great, I am so glad to see it back at Rowdy Rams. I love the promotions as well. BOOMShakalaka, I'm sorry I am not familiar with everyone on these boards but are you working in the Athletic Department to promote the Rowdy Rams? I would love to help out in any way, shape or form. I have many grass root type movements under my belt for VCU basketball and would love to see the Rowdy Rams promoted and more recognizable to students
If they could have the Rowdy Rams site link to the VCU Athletic site that would be great. Also I feel it would be important to have some sort of promotion to encourage people to sign up their friends much like last year for the SRAF. I don't know if there is a way to visit dorms and promote the Rowdies to new freshmen but that would be great. I also think it would be great to have a group of Rowdies from last year stand out by the compass handing out forms and teaching people the chants as they walk through campus.
