Let me first start off by saying that I really enjoy the enthusiasm and pride that most of the student section brings to the game. However, call me old school, but I think that students should run the student section. Those people that stand in front of the student section, quite frankly, are a disgrace to VCU. If I wanted to see chest bumps and lynch mobs, I'd watch a wrestling match. You guys are going to wonder how I know all of you are thirty years old, and I'm going to tell you it's quite obvious. My son attends VCU and he says most of the students are creped out by you guys. I have also sat near the student section and heard numerous altercations between you guys and actual students... There has to be a point in your life where you realize you belong in the stands with the rest of us, leave the game to the actual students.

It wont get ugly from my end. Frankly, I'm kind of curious to see how many people agree.

For the record, two of the regulars (Swiss and myself) in the Rowdy Ram section are graduates, the rest are students.
 
I was under the impression as well that most were students. obv not pav or swiss but ive never had any problem with them standing there. they get there crazy early and they beat the heck out of the entire west side.

And is no way this meant to start conflict for anyone but,..... How about if you have a problem with something people do bring it up to the proper people. Hardly is a message board an area where you will get anything other than resistance and stir up dust. All dust does is get you dirty.

So with all that said I will bite..... The "30" year olds in front of the student sections sometimes rub me wrong as well. Actually now that I think of it so do the 18 year olds in the student section. Sometimes I see 55 year old fans acting like morons. They creep me out sometimes. At the same time the same individuals that you and I pointed out have 1 thing in common mostly. They are die hard Ram fans.

Quite frankly there would probably be NO organization with out some of those people taking the lead in the student section. The altercations I have witnessed, and I probably have the closest seat to them, is self policing.

Sorry your not a fan of those fans and the way they celebrate and root on their team. I say keep on keepin on! Not much wrong with 30 year olds running student based organizations anyway. ;)

I have an idea maybe these Rowdy Rams can move over to the westside. The east doesn't need them to get loud maybe they can get the west rockin'?

First, lets get two of your "facts" straight. I'm closer to 20 than 30, and I'm a student. Pav is the only non-student. He comes for entertainment, to heckle refs, cheer, and enjoy the game. An overwhelming majority of the students love Pav in our section, and the minority can have the west end all to them selves. I really don't know why anyone would even bother to start a thread like this. I guess winning gets boring, so you have to b!tch about something while you accept getting old. If students are creeped out by us, then they simply have never come talked with us, or have a really small comfort zone and are probably creeped out by a lot of things.

Side thought: Rally beards probably don't help the creepy factor... :lol:

Final thought: Sure is funny the things that people say on a message board while hiding behind the power of being anonymous. In closing, GFY.
