Notable: VCU has won five consecutive games in the series, including four since Chris Mooney took over at UR. The Rams won 77-76 last year. "To me, it's a big deal," Mooney said. "If we want this to be a rivalry, we have to uphold our end of the bargain." UR (7-1), coming off a nine-day break after playing eight games in 20 days, has matched its second-best start since the 1954-55 season. The Spiders are allowing just 58.1 points (24th in the nation) and opponents are shooting just 36 percent (ninth in the nation). The Rams (5-2) are coming off a six-day break. They are averaging 75.7 points, allowing 69.4 and shooting 43.8 percent. This contest will be a reunion of sorts for VCU sophomore Bradford Burgess and UR freshman Darien Brothers, who were teammates at Benedictine.

the key to this game will be Brad and Jay. Brad has been very good this year until the game at W&M. he needs to be more assertive and aggressive in looking for his shots as 4 shots is not enough from him, as he should be taking 10+ a game. Gavin needs to also find his stroke as he has been pretty non-existent since the OU game. Nixon and B-Roz, but especially Ed have stepped up, but we will need both Brad and Jay to play well to win this game.

We dont necessarily need Brad and Jay to play well because we have other ballers. I'm thinking Terrance might have a break out party.

History says otherwise! Barely heard a word from Brad and Jay and we still won!

Based on what I have seen so far I think we can overcome any particular player having a bad game and still win. With the PT and scoring as spread out as they have been when one guy is off someone else seems to step up. Hopefully this will make us a consistent team down the stretch.
