Let's try this again. Some good info on Larry and Jamie below.

i believe you have to site your source in apa or mla format...

heh

copyright infringement (defined by the law) ≠ plagiarism (defined by (mostly) academic standards)

obviously they overlap, but they're not the same thing... the rules are different for each, so following the rules for one does not necessarily put you in the clear for the other

and to bring it back to the article, I shall post a small excerpted quote as allowed under copyright "fair use."

VCU forward Larry Sanders said serving a one-game suspension for a flagrant act was "definitely tough" and "really set a spark in me." He also said he got some perspective after reading about Texas A&M's Derrick Roland.

Roland suffered a grisly injury - a broken right tibia and fibula - in a game against Washington in December. He had a rod placed in his leg during surgery and is not expected to play again.

"This game is a gift to us," Sanders said. "You shouldn't take it for granted. If you play every game like it's your last game, you're going to be all right. You never know when it's going to be your last game. That was my mindset

Enough law talk. Not my cup of tea.

I didn't realize that Jamie Skeen's role was so much different at Wake Forrest. I knew that he could make 3's, but I did not realize that over half of his shots were 3's as stated in the article. I can understand now that he is going through a bit more of a transition then I had previously thought. Also seems like Coach Smart might have been implying that he wants Jamie to D up a little more to earn more time on the court. Hopefully he will continue to progress now that he is a starter.

It's one of the primary reasons he transferred to us.

Something doesn't match up about Skeen's role at Wake. On one hand it was reported that Wake had added bulk to him to make him an inside/post guy (and that he'd likely trim down in our system). Now we are talking about the fact that he took more than half his shots from 3 while at Wake.

Somehow I got the impression that he wasn't fond of the "mostly inside" role, but wanted to be a real inside/out guy. Seems like to me we are trying to turn him into mostly a post guy. I don't think anyone really knows what role he will play for us but he seems better on the boards than he is at scoring - - he might be too unselfish to be a big time scorer.
