I'm glad Larry was able to figure this out. Let's hope we see a new Larry the rest of the season. The initial results are promising!
Sanders said sitting out and "watching my teammates play without me really hurt. But it was a good chance for me to regroup."
The down time gave him a chance to contemplate his shot selection in recent games. Sanders was 12 for 32 from the floor -- some forced and some from the perimeter -- in his past two games.
"Me and Coach [Shaka] Smart had a couple of meetings about it," he said. "I found myself floating around the perimeter. My bread and butter is inside."
Sanders stayed near the basket last night and was 11 of 13. He made 9 of 12 free throws and had five rebounds and three blocked shots.
"We talked about three things for Larry," Smart said. "The first of those points was for him to catch the ball deeper, and regardless of where he catches it, attack the basket. I thought tonight he did that better than I've ever seen him do it. The result is 31 points and only two missed shots."
