John Wall took home top honors as Most Outstanding Player in Las Vegas after leading all players in scoring (23.5 ppg) and assists (7.8 apg).

Thought the team was bogus until I saw this.

Larry wasn't the outstanding player. Still underachieving I see.

Great summer for Larry.

3.2 blocks/game = tops among all players
8.4 rebounds = 8th among all players, 3rd among rookies
Lead his team in scoring at 14/game.

#6 on NBA.com's rookie ladder.

We all knew what Larry was capable of, good to see he worked hard and got it done.

So far so good for VCU's highest ever NBA Draft pick. Can't wait to see what he and Eric accomplish this year.

If Mil's summer team didn't suck so bad, Larry would probably have done even better. I watched a couple of those games and there didn't seem to be much chemistry or effort at team play.

In the final game I kept wondering why tiny Gallon hung out under the rim and Larry spent half his time at the top of the key. I heard the coaches shouting at Larry several times, "Pick and roll, Pick and roll!"

Some of the quotes from Bucks fans on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel web site.

"Sanders was getting NATIONAL
recognition in Las Vegas"

"Sanders is a major, major steal."

"Yes Larry Sanders looks like he's going to be a player, but let's not forget he was playing against summer league competition. But a MAJOR steal? Let him actually play a few NBA games before we anoint him the steal of the draft. (Although I actually agree with you to a point, in four years, people will look back and say, "That was the draft that included Wall and Sanders")"

Well there is always room in the nba for a big man that can run and play D. I mean, another lanky richmonder, Ben Wallace was on the cover of nba 2k5 (20 dollar game) and made all those all star teams. And he was raw as heck w/o larry's "offensive skills." But Larry's biggest asset is how excited he is to be in the nba and how willing to learn he is. And he's in a good place to develop with Scott Skiles as his coach and B. Jennings as his PG. This is why I voted for him in our front page poll on who will have a better year. He'll get his minutes while Eric needs an injury to Westbrook.

I don't ever remember Big Ben being "lanky". Always thought that kid was a monster.

Milwaukee Bucks (1-4): B-

If these grades were based solely on the play of 2010 first-round draft pick Larry Sanders, the Bucks would have gotten an A-plus as the former Virginia Commonwealth standout looked like he was a steal after being selected with the 15th pick in June's draft. The 6-9 forward led the Bucks' summer league squad in scoring (14 ppg), rebounding (8.4 rpg) and blocked shots (3.2 bpg), and tied for the team lead with seven steals.
