Wright, Rodriguez combine for five hits, five RBIs and four runs scored

RICHMOND, Va. – Coming into the season, Head Coach Paul Keyes mentioned several times that a lot would be determined by the way his seniors took to their new leadership role.

It looks like Keyes is getting that answer.

Seniors Justin Wright (Yorktown, Va.) and Carlos Rodriguez (Vega Baja, Puerto Rico) (left) led the Rams to a thrilling 10-8 come-from-behind victory over the Pride of Hofstra University in Colonial Athletic Association action on Friday evening at the Diamond.

“It wasn’t a pretty game at all, but we had our seniors step up and make the plays we needed in order to get the win,” Keyes said. “Sometimes you have to win ugly and that’s what we did tonight. We have a lot of things that we need to continually be working on.”
