"The seniors, even though they are seniors, really grew up tonight."

Defensively we were solid all game.

IMO, this could be a turning point game. At the end of the game, the coaches were excited, the players were excited, and the fans were excited, and every aspect of VCU basketball was together.

I hope so, but I kinda feel like our turning point game will have to happen on the road. Hopefully that will the the case at UNCW on Saturday and W&M on Wednesday.

Agree 100%. The turning point must occur on the road. This weekend provides us an excellent opportunity to do just that. GO RAMS!

Doc, you're either up really early, or really late!

They seemed realistic to me...or maybe that's what SS meant by growing up...they knew what they needed to do and continue to do...but Joey's comments about coming together was a highlight for me...

But as stated...UNCW will be the litmus test for this new attitude against a Sea Hawk squad that seems to be dangerous.

GO RAMS!

"The kid didn't get fouled on the shot," Flint said. "The foul occurred on the rebound. The other thing was, in the last few minutes of the game, I thought we got fouled every time we got in a trap or we went to the basket. That's one reason why I exploded.

"The last 3 minutes of the game, they didn't call one foul on them."

"I apologize for going crazy," said Flint, who had to be restrained by one of his assistants as he left the court. "Lost my cool out there. That's what happens in these types of games. I apologize to my team and to the people from Drexel."

He started his sh!t before the rebound. As someone said before, Drexel is the last team that should be complaining about foul calls. They've been playing clutch and grab "defense" since they game into the league.

I don't know if he went into this at all in the press conference, but he did say this to someone outside of the media room after the game regarding his reasoning behind getting tossed....

"I did it to prove a point to my team that I was very disappointed in their play tonight."

What a MORON! They have always been a very tough physical defensive team that couldn't shoot their way out of a paper bag! They played great Drexel basketball tonight and deserved to be in a position to win that game. His players would have had the chance to run a set play and get off a good look to tie or win if he had kept his composure, and he took that from them to prove a point, and that point was that they shot like crap? If he wants teams that shoot better, he needs to recruit better shooters!

Remember Mejia? He was a great shooter. He was in Bruiser's doghouse most of his career.

I've watched this play around a dozen times now and I still do not see a foul on us under the basket. Everyone boxes out, Brad (?) I believe spreads his arms a out, we get the rebound and they try to drag Jamie down by his jersey. Still not seeing it Bru.
