It's not even over then. People decommit all the time, and transferring is easy. If we don't see Silas next year we might catch him on the flip side.Looking forward to 3 o'clock. It's not over yet!!
I do hope he balls out wherever he goes though, I like Silas and want him to do well. It's not even over then. People decommit all the time, and transferring is easy. If we don't see Silas next year we might catch him on the flip side.
It would be peak DL is he commits to VCU after he closed the thread days before the announcement.Looking forward to 3 o'clock. It's not over yet!!
SC is a football first school. Basketball has always been an after thought. And as big as LA is, there is a lot of entertainment competition. If SC were to win a nc in bb, that might change. Otherwise, the Lakers, the clippers, the Rams, the Chargers, the Angels, the Dodgers, don't even know the Hockey and Soccer teams' names... are way ahead of SC bb. Not to mention UCLA still is the biggest draw for college bb in LA. and that's just sports.Yeah, it doesn't appear he'll be a Ram.
Related note: I was somewhat stunned to learn USC averaged under 4000 fans per game last year. That's wild.
They still have that Florida Gulf coach right? They had Mobley and he gets recruits. They are going to the Big Ten soon too. Their attendance is a disappointment though.SC is a football first school. SC is also a FOOTBALL SCHOOL, never has really prioritized basketball. They have money, but it's not limitless, they are going to prioritize bringing in guys for Riley. They think they can win a NC in football, soon. They don't think they can win a NC in bb ever maybe.USC has the money of a blue blood. It’s one of the richest private schools with a very large and wealthy fanbase (And celebs that went there or sent kids there.). There’s no limitations on NIL. If their alum will fund it they can pay whatever they have to. One thing is for certain is quite simply VCU can not beat USC in a money battle which likely that was a big hurdle for us. That’s of course assuming the reports now are true that he picked usc.
Their football attendance is also terrible lol. USC sports in general has terrible attendance unless they're national contenders. Their stadium holds 77,000 fans and I don't think they've filled it in years.SC is also a FOOTBALL SCHOOL, never has really prioritized basketball. Here is my thing on the money/NIL issue. It cannot become an excuse. If VCU wants a player they need to get them because excuses don't fill the roster. I know P5s have an advantage but last time I checked VCU is a great place to play. It is a good program with two players drafted in the last two years. Gotta figure this thing out.Money? Okay. How much are you betting he's getting?
We've been doing pretty well recruiting the last few years though. It's usually us or Dayton on top of the A10 in recruiting year after year. We just signed two top-100 4*'s last year lol. We're going to miss on most recruits, every school does. Here is my thing on the money/NIL issue. It cannot become an excuse.
