Also worth nothing, with VCU’s win over William & Mary last night, the CAA can now be classified as a log jam at the top. Old Dominion, George Mason and Northeastern are all 7-1, W&M is right behind at 6-2 and VCU is 5-3 and still the most dangerous team in that league in my mind.

It's nice to see that we're still getting respect outside the CAA even though we're not getting much from anyone in it. 8-)

They're just scared. They know the truth. They know we're still the team to beat. They're not talking about it because they hope we'll go away if they don't pay us attention.

I think I agree that this is the case for a lot of fans. I also think that a number of other fans also think our time has come and gone with Eric in the NBA now. How quickly everyone forgot our strong OOC start. We probably had the best wins of any CAA team not named W&M. We coughed up a 15 point lead at W&M to lose by 1 on a cheap foul by Brad Burgess with 3 seconds left and David Schneider trapped with nowhere to go. Tough loss. We drop another game by 5 to NU at home in which Larry may have played his worst game of the year and then go to the DAC where Drexel gets ridiculously hot and hits 10 threes when on any other night they are putrid from behind the arc, beating us by a trey.

I agree a 1-3 CAA start probably had everyone thinking we were done, but you can't just discount our performance before that. We are a very deep and talented team. We're still 13-4 now and have less overall losses and more top 50 wins (3) than all the #1 teams (except William & Mary who have the same # of losses and top 50 wins). We are certainly still a CAA contender and have a team that can do damage in the tournament. Let's show Northeastern that we're for real and we're not going anywhere.

I actually think it's just the opposite, I know for saturday NU is going to be taking you guys real seriously because NU has it's own chip on it's shoulder from last year. The guys know the rest of the league is waiting for them to hit a late season fade and they're playing to aggressively make sure that won't happen!

What's the opposite? We're not dangerous?

I'm sure NU will be taking us seriously, as they should every opponent. This game is all about who wants it more. It'll be a heck of a game, and if NU wins it will be the first time a team has swept the season series with VCU since '05-'06 when CAA Champion UNCW did it.

Patience people. This is going to be one fine season for the Rams.
