So now that Bradley is out of the picture, who do we go after?
Lalanne has already stated that VCU and UMass are recruiting him the hardest although he liked his UGA visit a lot. Hopefully we can nail him down as he is a top 150-type player. Scout has him as the #21 Center in the 2010 class and he's the 142nd player on the Rivals 150. He's a 90 on ESPN.
Basabe just came off his Siena visit and is visiting Drexel in a couple of weeks after which he will make a decision. All indications from web reports are that he has been given the bridesmaid treatment at VCU and that Siena is his leader. I think it would be surprising if he goes anywhere other than Siena. He's the #35 PF on Scout, unranked on Rivals and an 89 on ESPN.
Allen Payne still lists us as his leader and has a visit coming up to Auburn after which he makes his decision. I have a good feeling if we do indeed have two scholarships as he says, that he will be one of the 2 to commit. Seems like we've been his leader all along. Auburn, while in the SEC, is not a program worth writing home to about. He seems like a clone of McCarter so I dunno if we really need him, but we'll see what the coaching staff has planned. He's a 2 star on scout, a 3 star on Rivals and a 90 on ESPN.
