So now that Bradley is out of the picture, who do we go after?

Lalanne has already stated that VCU and UMass are recruiting him the hardest although he liked his UGA visit a lot. Hopefully we can nail him down as he is a top 150-type player. Scout has him as the #21 Center in the 2010 class and he's the 142nd player on the Rivals 150. He's a 90 on ESPN.

Basabe just came off his Siena visit and is visiting Drexel in a couple of weeks after which he will make a decision. All indications from web reports are that he has been given the bridesmaid treatment at VCU and that Siena is his leader. I think it would be surprising if he goes anywhere other than Siena. He's the #35 PF on Scout, unranked on Rivals and an 89 on ESPN.

Allen Payne still lists us as his leader and has a visit coming up to Auburn after which he makes his decision. I have a good feeling if we do indeed have two scholarships as he says, that he will be one of the 2 to commit. Seems like we've been his leader all along. Auburn, while in the SEC, is not a program worth writing home to about. He seems like a clone of McCarter so I dunno if we really need him, but we'll see what the coaching staff has planned. He's a 2 star on scout, a 3 star on Rivals and a 90 on ESPN.

Until Bradley commits, he's still in the picture for me.

Maybe I'm delusional.

He's already ruled VCU out though. Goodman at Fox Sports confirmed it after speaking to Bradley. Bradley's choosing between Drake and UConn.

I am with the 3 legged man on this one. However if we don't get Bradley I would still be extremely happy with Lalanne. I am sure he would more than hold his own at Center for the Rams. At this point who knows who will be the better player by this time next year between Michael Bradley and Cady Lalanne. It seems like a lot of people on here have forgotten about Cady, but I am sure the coaching staff hasn't. I would also be happy with either Basabe or Payne as they both seem like highly rated highly talented recruits who are very much interested in what VCU has to offer.

I have been a big fan for Cady all along and hope he comes. I havent been as sold on Basabe as some and was surprised when many were hoping for him over Cady, but maybe that was just because it was seen as more likely. I dont see the purpose of bringing in Payne when he seems to be basically is a Reco clone as you said and we already have Brad at the 3. The only way it makes any sense is if they think one of them can legitimately play the 4 spot here and someone else is leaving so we have two schollies assuming larry leaves. That all said Cady doesnt strike me as a legit center prospect, though i think Skeen has the bulk to play the 5 if necessary while we recruit a 5 next year as well.

Is there any way we can get back in on Kadeem Green? I know some on here have postulated he is not interested in us but espn, rivals and scout all have us listed as teams on his list.

Other names: Donte Williams from GA...Josh Henderson from VA but i think he might have too much big interest...whatever happened to Hippolyte Tsafack, did he verbal maryland?...then there is always Shawn Kemp Jr. ;)
