So Proud.

You guys should be very proud of what you accomplished in the past 3 days. Played great ball and were literally 2-3 possession away from the dance.

Smart is a decent coach. He outcoached Blaine in Norfolk, and orchestrated a huge comeback this evening.

As much as I want to beat you guys, I respect the rivalry.

Good luck in the NIT (assumption), and I really hope you get Tech or Uva and kick some ACC ass.

No doubt I'm proud - I walked out of the building pissed (good thing I didn't run into Mike Eades, but that will be discussed in another thread I'm sure), but proud ..........

I (like many) put this season to rest before the tournament started, my hope was to win one game just to save face and we came that close to pulling it off a championship - lots of heart out there tonight from our kids and coaches ......

Losing to ODU makes it harded to handle of course, but I know we left it all out there .........

On to the NIT and some more basketball ........

That second half was something awesome to be proud of. Our players, our coaches, our fans, our band, our cheerleaders all took it up a notch. It's funny, the run and the pride I had with them for that almost help soften the blow of the loss. I really, really hope we get a chance to play at the Stu one more time to get our seniors a real senior night.

Ed Nixon gets mad props. Thought he'd be our Willis Reed and he almost was. No matter what went down during the year, I love this team.

He said it better than me - this

I am also very proud of our team. We def. played and brought it all for the 2nd half.

However, not to derail the thread, but did anyone stay to listen to ODU's coach's speech after the game about how they let us get those points in the 2nd half because they didn't want VCU fans to leave early?

I was starting to like him at the beginning of his speech, but that made me just rage, he had no need or point to say that, and it made him and his team come off looking more dickish then they went in to begin with.

More Blaine Taylor trying to cover his ass.

I guess it really is true that a team tends to take the form of their leader. In this case it would be Mr. Moustache, Mr. Baby Punch, and Mr. Elbow.

probably the last time he graces the floor of any court in richmond....he will ride this success outta town...word is he is shopping his arse as we speak...cannot wait to see odu go through a coaching change...
think about it...no recruits to speak of...best players leaving in droves...bazemore only decent player returning...no one wanting to sign at odu to play that style...bye blaine

Where? I can't see him having success at any Power Six school. Private schools like St. Bona and La Salle won't look kindly on his DUI at Montana.

Then again, I'd be the first to enjoy watching him pull a Todd Lickliter at wherever he ended up coaching.

Back to the original topic.

I love this team. We have a lot to be proud of, and plenty of basketball left to be played.

GO RAMS!

I'm proud of the team too! The season could end today and I would be happy, unless we receive an at-large.

Somebody tell Blaine to STOP pregaming for his interviews with the media...

I'M SO PROUD OF MY SCHOOL. The guys. The fans. The band.
Seriously, we showed so much heart and I think it DID soften the blow from our loss. GO RAMS!

RTD reports Skeen and Brad making the All Tournament Team...well deserved...Congrats and another reason to be proud...no 1st team All-CAA-ers but we get 2 on the ATT!!!!
