they were getting a lot of "love" from the experts going into this tourney. Knew rebounding would get them at some point, didn't think they'd get outrebounded 40-17 by a bunch of kids from "down under" .............

They just didn't compete today - pretty surprised.
 
I was in the car on the way home from work so I listened to their broadcast. Bob Black asked if the reason they lost might have been because they just finished the a-10 tournament and St. Mary's had theirs the week-end before. I think they were just looking for excuses.

Then on the post-game, they were talking about how great their seniors had been with turning things around. Black said they were 62-40 over the past three years. I was thinking that if you didn't count VCU they were 62-37. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
They still were a good team and deserved to be in the NCAA tournament. I saw them play at least six times and I was always impressed. They have come a long way in their program. Makes VCU's win much more enjoyable.
