Does anyone know whois in charge of the technical side of the stats? I am curious as to why our stats are not carried on ESPN, or any other sports site. Tonight every other game in conference had live stats up on ESPN but nothing for VCU. This is the case with all of our home games. So especially tonight when I could not get our stat tracker to work (dont know if this problem was me or everyone) I was in the dark. Anyone have any ideas, or who to talk to?

This is also a problem when not at home and our stat tracker doenst seem to work on my blackberry but I could get them via ESPN mobil?

any else share these issues/frustrations? Or know who this falls under, to talk to about?

Were you at the game? Anyway, Robbie on the radio side does a good job of reporting stats. But if you just want stats, then I dont know what to tell you. Great game however!

Yes there were, and there occasionally are with anyone's, but I think what he is asking about more is how come we don't provide stats to ESPN (and others) to link to their websites during our games as well!

yes, thats the big question. Why don't we report our stats to the major sports reporting sites, like ESPN, CBSsportsline, ect. . . the most we ever get is a score and that is normally in large time gaps that it updates.

I am not sure that this is the correct person, but I would start here:

Scott Day
Director of Athletic Communications
804-828-1727
email: [email protected]

If Scott is not the person, he should direct you to the correct office.

P.S. I do know that AP has a person at the game. I talked with him before the game.

I commented on this numerously on the in game thread.

Every CAA game had an ESPN.com gamecast except for this game.
ESPN.com's scoreboard probably updated the VCU score 5 times the entire game.
None of the major sites had updated scores for this game.
Even the VCUAthletics "live" stats page was down for most of the game - saying that the "game has not started" well into the second half.

As usual, the ticker on ESPN and ESPN2 displayed every women's score and many other scores (including non-top 25 games and non-bubble games) about 20 times before they showed any CAA scores.

Very frustrating, but that's life as a Ram fan.
