...What Bradford Burgess shot from long range this past season. That's tops in the CAA among players with at least 80 attempts.
 
Great stat. As soon as i saw 43% i thought we were gonna see something ridiculous like

43%- Sometimes' dedication to VCU since becoming a darn YANKEE! LOL JK
 
Yeah, I love Joey, but it always bugs me when I read that he lead the CAA in 3 point %. Not just by people on the board, but several articles as well. Not a knock on him, just wish more people realized that although he lead the league most of the season Bradford came on strong and ended up on top. I believe we had the only two players in the league to shoot over 40% from 3, and they are both returning. That makes me feel good about next season, expecially considering that several of the incoming players are said to be threats from deep as well.

How about this. 43%-how many people wrote that we are the VCU Bananas while filling out their brackets after this photo circulated around the net. The other 57% just wondered why the F a member of our team appeared to be dancing with a banana.

On a personal note I like the banana suit thing. Aside from spanking the rest of the CAA on the court once of the cool things about the games for me is what the fans do.

Joey DID lead the CAA in 3-point percentage. Burgess did not have enough attempts to qualify. Sample size does matter. Joey attempted 63 more 3-pointers than Bradford. In addition, the difference between the Bradford shooting .430 or .419 or .407 is one make each.

I realize that Joey took more 3's and made more 3's then Bradford, but I don't see how he didn't have enough to quallify for the highest %. What is the official number to quallify for that? Whenever I look at stat sites it seems to vary.
 
Just glad to have both Joey and Burgess and from what I am reading Gavin is another 3 point threat as is Daniels the freshman from Roanoke. The more weapons we have the better.
