Don't be fooled by some of the comments on the board. You've still got a posse here at VCU. Play hard, play smart, believe in your coaches, believe in your team, represent VCU with heart, and play to the best of your ability. That's really all any of us can ask of you. We support you. Find your game and lead us to the post season. Let's Go VCU!!!!!

Kinda like a roommate who doesn't wash the dishes. You don't kick him out the crib but you do complain when he doesn't do right.

You don't need a shirt to want Larry over Gerald Lee, just a brain.

Now you need a Rowdy Rams shirt and a Posse shirt.
 
never left...never will....he seems to me to be a nice genuine person. He still has a lot to learn as does the entire team and the coaching staff...Every team in the CAA and probably beyond would LOVE to have Larry...
 
Think about this. How many VCU wins does he have as a starter? TJ, Hammer, Joey and Brad??

And I told you that Coach Smart would have some hiccups along the way and that we would be cool with it.
 
I still have lots of love for our big guy, but I wish he would remember where he came from, instead of playing like he's the best player in the CA. He might be, who knows; but he should continue to play like he still has something left to prove. To me, he still has plenty left to show his fans, as well as any scouts that attend the games. Outside shooting is nice, if it's consistent, or something a team needs more of, but Larry will, in all likelihood, be drafted as an inside player who will be a defensive nightmare and sometimes have a great offensive night. Most NBA teams already have their go-to 3 point guys.

On a side note: I've heard rumors that the entire team is quarreling with each other over playing time/ individual roles lately. Any truth to these rumors? If my opinion was asked, I would say that the freshmen should be happy with what they get, because they need time to adjust to the pace and intensity of the college game. If anything, Theus' time should be split between he and Daniels; Daniels for the offensive play, Theus for the defensive intensity (once he gets into the groove and stops committing silly fouls). They will eventually have their time to shine. Rozzell and Nixon didn't get huge minutes their freshmen year, or really even sophomore year, and they have evolved into emotional leaders of this team. They provide a huge offensive and defensive boost to this team, because they have learned to make the most of their time on the court helping the team.

I've heard a lot of this too, and it is certainly NOT coming from the freshmen. I also don't think it's coming from Skeen either.
