Bruiser Flint's Drexel team will try to impose a physical defensive style and half-court pace on VCU tonight in Philadelphia, much the way Northeastern did Monday while walking out of the Siegel Center with a 62-57 victory over the Rams.

VCU (1-2, 9-3), fueled by a full-court press, wants to play at a chaotic pace that creates plenty of opportunities in transition. The Rams are averaging 75.2 points, the top mark in the CAA.

Several of their league foes are comfortable playing rugged defensive games with scores in the 50s and 60s. Five CAA teams - Old Dominion (56.2), Georgia State (59.5), Drexel (63.3), Northeastern (64.4) and Hofstra (64.4) - yield fewer than 65 points.
