I've always been a fan of TJ. He is the do it all guy. Plays in the paint, gets the tough rebounds, good on defense and scores when needed.

If you look at a lot of his shots last night, many were shots that most players would miss. Opposition all around him yet he makes the tough shots. He doesn't hit the flashy 3-pointer, the monster dunk or slash and dash to the basket. What he does is the down low power work, offensively and defensively.

I think just about every single basket he has made this season has been of his own making....no assists to him or blocks for him. He makes his own shots...down low and in the paint. Not too many players can do that.

I absolutely agree. He has been playing great so far. Some times you can't put your finger on it and pick out one single thing that he does, but he helps us win games without a doubt. Even though his stats are starting to look pretty good this season. 6.4 rebounds isn't too bad for a guy listed at 6-4. If he didn't miss so much time last year with the foot injury I think our 4 CAA losses would have been no more than 2 and as few as one. His toughness and experience were key in helping us wrap up the #1 seed and getting us through the CAA tourney last season.

I have always liked his hustle
now
that I have found out that he was a kick azz soccer goalie in high school
He is Da Man :ugeek:

TJ plays the 4 right? How will his playing time be affected when Skeen and Sintil are eligible?

whether he starts or not, he'll be in the mix...too valuable not to be.

Couldn't agree more. Never leaves anything on the court.....100% effort.

I think you could see some odd lineups with TJ at the 4 and Skeen at the 3 at the same time. Imagine that lineup with Larry at the 5, Burgess at the 2 and Theus at the 1. SERIOUSLY big lineup, and everyone would be playing close to their natural posistion.

Senior leadership, and the coaches believe in him. That injury really hurt him last year.

By the way, T.J. has got to have the all time record for the most pump fakes in NCAA history.
That is all.

It's going to take some development, but when it happens, watch out opponent!

Although their styles are different, I see TJ's role as being similar to that of JPR, sans the long range jumper.
Both players seem to enjoy mixing it up and doing the little things, whatever they may be, it takes to win. Both guys have huge hearts and an unquenchable desire to get the job done, even at the expense of their own bodies.

I love looking at TJ's eyes when he is on the court and INTENSE....

Remember Cookman when he refused to pick up the ball...I mean INTENSE! Go TJ!!!!

does anyone remember TJ during the nevada games when he literally fought the entire other team for the ball. It looked like he travel like crazy, but he was just tryin to rip the ball from everyone for the rebound.
