The T Man Terry Sissisky is gravely ill. He has double pneumonia and stomach cancer. the doctor has called all of his family members to come. Sounds like he has very little time left. Just found out last night. Very, very sad for the Ram Nation. He will always be the "voice of the Rams". He is in st. marys hospital in ICU (family only allowed)...lift up some prayers for the T man...he sure could use them.

My thoughts and prayers are with Terry and his family.

A client actually informed me of this down in Hopewell. Said he knew Terry and his brothers since they were young. Too sad. Thoughts certainly with T-man and his family

Wow, O had not heard of any health issue for Terry. This is truly terrible news. Has it been printed/publicized anywhere?

Thoughts and prayers go out to Terry and his family.

I heard Robby and Mike mention this on the feed before it was lost. Very sad. As long-distance Ram fan, I relied on the T-Man to bring VCU basketball to life for a long time. He will always be the first ambassador of the program in my mind and heart. Thoughts and prayers to him, his family and friends.

(edit- I wonder if than just a banner or plaque, perhaps renaming something in his honor would be better... maybe the Franklin St Gym becomes the Sisisky Practice Facility... or at least rename press row and/or the press room at Siegel)

That's shocking because he was just on TV a couple of weeks ago doing the state championship games and he looked fine. Sad, sad news.

Terry, may God's grace come upon you.
Thanks for all the exciting, if sometimes unintelligible, but always heartfelt calls of the plays.
I think there is room in the rafters of the Stu for a banner for "THE VOICE OF THE RAMS"

I had heard this yesterday as well. Please say a prayer for Terry, who is and always has been a wonderful person.

Get Well T-Man, we are in your corner and we want you to enjoy VCU's success in the coming years!

Just wanted to send my well-wishes to T-Man and family- prayers are with you.

This doesn't sound good at all. Terry personified VCU during his tenure behind the mike. Incredible dedication to his craft and to the VCU basketball program. Alot of people dont realize he has done Petersubrg basketball and area high school sports and R-MC football for years. A true sports junkie doing what he loves.
I hope the best for him and his family.

May Gods grace be on the T Man...

The T man deserves a banner in the Stu...

89-89.....the greatest call ever. Bo jones, bo jones, bo jones...

I have never met T, but when I hear his voice I'm quickly transformed into state of mind called RamNation--a place T knew existed long before a thing called the internet. I see myself huddled around my radio, tweaking the AM dial to better hear his inpassioned voice calling a fadeaway jumper for Kotak, a monstor dunk by Warren, or the time-stood-still conclusion of the Rams beating Louisville to open the Stu.

Every fan of basketball in central VA owes "the T" for what he means to this game. His dedication to VCU bb and the Greater Richmond community never stops inspiring.

T, we pray for your strength, endurance and God's peace for you and your family.

You are loved by RamNation!

I wasn't around to hear many of the games that he called on the radio, but I remember the night he was inducted into the VCU Hall of Fame. He was receiving a standing ovation when one of the students (I actually think it might have been banana) shouted out "We love you T Man". As soon as he heard that he looked back with a tear in his eye and acknowledged the crowd. That moment told me every thing that I needed to know about T Man. Sometimes the greatest individuals are also the most humble. You could tell that he wasn't expecting to get that type of reaction yet was extremely touched. It was obvious that he has an incredible knowledge of the game of basketball and a tremendous passion for the sport. I certainly wish him the best, and hope he knows that the thousands of people who were on their feet cheering for him that night are still are.
