Thank you Zeb Jackson, one HECK of a RAM

I think he forgot to flip the switch on his back to VCU.

Well played😆

HUGE @ZebJackson fan. I think he missed two game-winning, open lay-ups, but who's counting other than me. He was a high statesman and spokesman of the Black and Gold when Cancer took the PSU job.

He made up his mind A FEW WEEKS ago!!??

So WTH has the staff been doing the entire time to find his replacement?

Was the staff even looking for experienced pg?..

Maybe they are opting for a PG with no college experience to be th "QB" in the offense??

Or is Evans going to running the offense from the "point forward" position?

I'm sorry...but why even schedule a home and home with NC state if you plan on losing??

Quardir Copeland is going to destroy Ahmad Nowell.

You may want to step away from the Forum for a few days/weeks. If this is how you support our team, we don’t want you as a fan.

We are not replacing Zeb. He was never here. There was a small chance he could end up back here. They went into the recruiting season knowing that.

If 3pt% had anything to do with your position then Dirk Nowitzki is a SG and Tony Allen is PF... stop it DL.

A PG primarily facilitates the offense, Zeb was on the court to score. Ace is a PG, Johnny Williams is a PG, Darius Theus was a PG.

Zeb, Bones, Melvin, etc. are not PGs. If you think the latter 3 play anything like the former 3 you're out your mind

Zeb was a SG at Montverde, he was a SG at Michigan and was a SG at VCU lol Jequan is a good example of a CG

Per 40:
Zeb (Mich): 12 FGA, 2.7apg, 0.23 ast/FGA
Zeb (VCU): 12.9 FGA, 4.1apg, 0.32 ast/FGA, 16% of total team ast
Zeb (Jr/Sr): 14.2 FGA, 4.1 apg, 0.29 ast/FGA, 18% of total team ast
JLew (Jr/Sr): 12.75 FGA, 6.45apg, 0.51 ast/FGA, 33% of total team ast

See the difference? High volume of shots AND assists to match is what makes a CG/Modern PG, whatever you want to call it.

And just like the "Jamie Skeen is a wing" narrative you tried to push, film doesn't lie lol
As I stated facts be damned. Those who know, know. Again, I just stick to the facts, not my feelings or beliefs. Look this was DL and another posters beef. I just pointed out that experts listed him as a sg out of HS which you aware and repeated. He was listed as a pg by 247 (those guys are legit and do this professionally, not sure if you do). I provided a further link that listed him as a combo guard.

It doesnt matter to me what you think, about the position a guy played. The games are done, and his time is up. I am done with this one.

You're absolutely rignt and that's the problem.

We have literally no5o 66 p brn
What is your definition of an "experienced" point guard? For a little perspective, in his freshman season Maynor averaged only 3 minutes more per game than Brandon Jennings. In fact, Jennings played 457 total minutes compared to Maynor's 455 minutes. Not to mention, Jennings has experience winning a conference title and going to the NCAAs, something Maynor didn't experience as a freshman.

Considering he became 1st team all-conference as a sophomore and had heroic performances in the conference tournament and in the NCAAs, I kinda think it worked out when we went into the 2006-07 season with an "inexperienced" pg and a new coach.

Would I like to have a perfect team with zero voids or question marks? Sure. Yeah, having an experienced point guard as insurance would be great. Am I going to lose any sleep over not having one? Nope, because (at least on paper) we have considerable talent and multiple options at just about all positions.

Regarding Zeb, I viewed him as more of a back up ball handler than a back up point guard. To me, the only true playmaker on last year's squad was Max. Just because you bring the ball up court doesn't make you a point guard, particularly in this age of position less basketball.

A hope of mine for the Rams this year is to have 5 players on the court who can score with the ball regardless of position. Last year we played too much 3 on 5 or 4 on 5 on offense.

A PG that can score is a bonus along with a 5 that is a threat. We have several players that can be counted on to bring the ball up court and also beat the press.

That is all. Off my soapbox now.
