Sweet...I'm always glad to watch Team USA play on the international stage. That is a pretty rough group to play in, I can't blame South Africa for ensuring themselves the best chance of moving on with that weak group. No doubt Coach Bradley will have the team rested and ready.

Big E....I'm more then a little stunned and amazed at the US movin' on. We looked like rank amateurs in the first couple games, and frankly...we were undoing a lot of the progress we had made (imo). Spain is gonna be a tough one, but I'm lookin' forward to the challenge.

I hope he's at the Final to watch my Stars and Stripes shock the world...

(They start by shocking Spain in the Confederation Cup semis tomorrow night...)

phase 1 complete

There was no way the US was losing this game...they were just due, and Spain was due for a loss.

I would imagine we'll see a rematch with Brazil in the Final...and I'll have to make it to Penny Lane for that one.

such a great game. Spain had about 15 chances and USA was just outstanding on defense. Tim Howard was great. We only got a handful of chances and we took advantage. This should do a lot for America's interest in soccer.
