The Stu: a glimpse in time the TV just does not show you:

These pics are public, and I'm tagged in them as I took one of them, because selfies suck and you just cannot capture an excellent time like this with a selfie.. so I do not think a friend Devin would mind me sharing these here on Ramnation.
What you see here I'm assuming was a reunion of 4 guys for a game they had a BLAST at.. a very rowdy, rambunctious reunion. In back of them directly in front of me was a gathering of 4 mini me's whether or not these guys or the youth behind them had any idea was happening. I can only assume about the boys who were EQUALLY as rowdy and rambunctious- no lie it was like a movie scene, I was very entertained by seeing them entertained, that the boy to the left in the pic here had his dad with him who I suppose picked up the other 3 or there was a sleepover or something and he treated them to gatorade, popcorn, and candy.. and a VCU Rams game- probably getting teml ouy of their parents hair for a much needed break during the holidays. These boys were hopped up, probably just as lit as the four elders in front of them but in a different way (S U G A R, and VCU VCU VCU!) They were so rowdy their gatorade bottles repeatedly hit the floor behind them as did the popcorn I was hit by when they cheered, it was going everywhere  When they left, I was left dreaming that in 20 years (more like 30 perhaps?) or so in the future the 4 boys will get back together during the holidays to relive the Christmas 2025 game I saw them having such a blast at, just like the 4 in front of them. Get lit. Enjoy the night and a funnest time in RVa you can possibly have. That what I saw both groups having Dec 22 2025 at The Siegel Center, that you won't know happened from a TV broadcast.

You just won't.

The Stu is a place where special things happen. This section we were sitting in is not seen on TV, where things happen many will not see. But I hope this post can be seen by many and people can realize a moment in time is likely what happens a LOT in The Stu. I've witnessed a likewise same aged female gathering of VCU grads in another section last year, that TOO was a bast I kinda felt a part of having taken pics of them for the group. It's a special place. Thanks to everyone who makes gatherings like this happen in Richmond.

I was not there. Have not been to a game in two seasons. What do I know? I do know that I like sunshine in the morning when it slaps my face and my wife's favorite flower was a rose.

Thank you for so supporting such a great thing from afar! Just intended this as a thank you to those who do as you do, and wanted to point out one thing that makes The Stu so special to so many. Wishing you and yours and the entirety of Ramnation a blessed happy holiday season, Mike.

Grinding out a hard earned win vs a quality conference opponent means so much more to me than beating a 250+ KenPom team by 25+ points. This team has plenty to work on, but I like what I see. If the defense can be top half in KenPom in conference play then I think VCU is a top 1 or 2 team in A10 play. If not, I think this team is more destined for the 4-5 range. Looking forward to it, today was ELECTRIC!
