Reminder that Eamonn Brennan (formerly of ESPN and TheAthletic and now has his own Substack) is the BEST at Bubble Watch.Again, the national experts fail to appreciate the fact that our at large hopes ended on 12/10. This time the dummies are at an outfit called ESPN.

There is hope but I am in a one game at a time mode. Stack wins. But people on this forum told me that we suck and have absolutely no postseason hopes.
For sure! Road game at SLU means nothing if we can't beat a depleted Dayton team at home, a bad La Salle team on the road, a trending down Richmond team on the road, or an underachieving and potentially hurt (Castro) GW team at home. There is hope but I am in a one game at a time mode. Stack wins.
I saw that article, and it justified me missing two straight home games during the Snowcretepocolypse. I think I already posted about this, but on Friday night, I was leaving my house just as the flurries were starting. I was going to visit my mother in her assisted living apartment. By the time I got there (from Mechanicsville to Glen Allen) it was coming down like crazy. It was still coming down when I left an hour later, and at that point I figured I may as well just head down to VCU since it was about the same distance as going home. Truly, if I had planned to leave straight from home later, I might not have gone. It got slick out there real quick, and it was worse on the way home. With that said, I'm so glad I didn't miss that game.As IF I needed more justification to self for missing those 2 home games, and being pretty terrified at times walking TO the Dayton game and home which was worse... just read this (it's cracked for all who wanna read it, as the article says the vast majority of these were right here in central Va., in a short span of time, and like the news said there were perhaps a couple hundred thousand injuries not reported, or people are still home treating/still recuperating):
12,000 Virginians got hurt falling on ice. Surgeons' schedules are booked.
When the rain came down t the tailend of that sleet storm, I knew it was gonna be the reality for the next over a week of time., knew the injuries were gonna be mounting and pledged I wasn't gonna be one of them if I could avoid it. Still hurt myself in a FEW places on the body trying not to fall.I saw that article, and it justified me missing two straight home games during the Snowcretepocolypse. My wife had to dash over to her mother's early Saturday morning due to what turned out to be a relatively minor medical emergency. While walking past the ambulance that had been called, she came really close to biting it hard on the sidewalk. Those EMTs almost had a two-fer!When the rain came down t the tailend of that sleet storm, I knew it was gonna be the reality for the next over a week of time., knew the injuries were gonna be mounting and pledged I wasn't gonna be one of them if I could avoid it. The Physical Therapy offices will also be busy helping those people recover. As IF I needed more justification to self for missing those 2 home games, and being pretty terrified at times walking TO the Dayton game and home which was worse... just read this (it's cracked for all who wanna read it, as the article says the vast majority of these were right here in central Va., in a short span of time, and like the news said there were perhaps a couple hundred thousand injuries not reported, or people are still home treating/still recuperating):
